This is unexpected, to say the least. This castaway had appeared to be asleep like all the others, and although their features suggest that they hail from a planet unfamiliar to Olimar (likely located on the outskirts of the inhabited sector), one’s species shouldn’t matter when it comes to the Onion.
So why, then, did it reject them…? Could it be that this lost soul has the strength and skill to survive without the Leaves on a planet that has defeated so many others?
Olimar waits patiently for the castaway to rise to their feet and express their frustration. He won’t apologize for trying to save their life, but he won’t hold their anger against them, either. This must be as confusing for them as it is for him.
Part of him wants to test their abilities to see for himself whether he can trust them to keep themself alive, but the Onion has already made that assessment for him. For now, he must treat this stranger as a capable survivor. So what else can he do to help them?
“You’ll want Pikmin,” the Leafling murmurs half to himself, seemingly ignoring her comments completely.
“Come with me. I will answer your questions and provide supplies. Only then will you be able to prove that you are skilled enough in dandori to thrive here.”
