She would have been a Philodox, but the Moon-Theft Rite took care of that. I love playing a character like Nell, because she's defying the very world she occupies-- but she's loyal, she's proud to be Shadow Lord kin even if it chokes her.

In a lot of stories, women like Nell-- brash, bold women who push against the proper way of things-- die. They die to fuel someone else's story, with a little cautionary tale left on their corpse. But not Nell.

I got so enchanted by this idea that it's pretty much canon now: maybe two or three years after AOM, Colin says "fuck this" and moves back to Rade, but this time to Aephar (he's from Liepes), where he falls in with Nell and Bess and starts a band with them. So here's Nell and Colin, who I imagine sounding like Pat Benatar and (trans) Joan Jett, respectively.

Who brought you back, by the way? Was it Adam? I heard he’s the guy who’s a step-up from Brant. He seems to be pretty good at the whole saving of lives thing. 

I’m not thrilled to hear about the passing out, but it makes sense. You’re being taken care of now, right? Alfie’s still on the mend after his trip to a hell dimension, but I could bring him with me if you need someone to fetch food and hydration for you.
