Thaisha Lloy is kind of hilarious conceptually. she's the druidy-est druid to ever do it. she works her magic not just with living organisms, but with the very ore if the earth itself. when she cannot speak for herself, the world around her becomes her voice.

she's also a nepo baby who's so used to coasting around on her family's name that she doesn't know how to lie about who she is where she's going or what she's doing at any given time

i also joked during the episode about the seekers table being composed entirely of rich people, but i do love how occtis is the one who has to do all of the talking at the shepherd's shelter because everyone else is just horrified at the concept of staying here

aranessa and julien: have literally never slept in a bed that wasn't designed for nobility

vaelus: doesn't sleep, has just stood somewhere all night before and is plenty willing to do so again, most likely has never been in a place like this before

thaisha: has probably made camp on the road before but also has enough money to afford a proper inn when available, and has access to not one but two rather well-off homes when back in dol-makjar

occtis: yeah i grew up in a castle but my family kicked me out five years ago and since then a student dorm has been the better of my sleeping options, whatever

I am absolutely obsessed with the deeply grim yet clinical body horror of Occtis Tachonis. Everything about that scene in the alley, of him trying to make himself throw up the food sitting heavy in his stomach, of him reaching into his body and removing his own entrails, of him realizing that he can be healed but only to the point where he died... Oh it is so so good.
