Scratch and Bhadra because the Nagaraja is wild about her girl
everyone say happy birthday to scratch RIGHT NOW
the fun part about being me and having outlast trials characters is that people are aware that somehow someone is getting railed by liliya or gooseberry and im really not even going to have to apologize for that.
i have several wips because scratch in particular needs a pick-me-up and some affection
i'm never leaving this time. (from @remedialmuses Scratch for Tanith 😈)
[even in arcadia || accepting]
Tanith wiped the blood from her mouth, head bowed as she struggled with her free hand to push herself up from the dirt.
She was freezing.
Wind and shadow whipped across Mirror Peak, threatening to buffet her straight over the edge of the cliffs, down into the Cauldron thousands of feet below. Scratch stood at the center of the maelstrom, his outline growing more and more definite by the second. More solid. His face a mask of teeth and blood.
And Wake was nowhere to be seen.
Maybe she’d been too harsh with him at the diner. Maybe he’d given up, or didn’t trust the FBC’s agents or their calculations about the coming disaster. Right now, she couldn’t exactly blame him. She’d been expecting an AWE. This was a full fucking manifestation. And thanks to Wake, she was alone.
No backup.
No breath in her bruised and aching lungs.
Not even a fucking flashlight.
Tanith’s eyes trailed along the bloody earth. Her blood. Past Scratch’s boots, into the nothingness of the void. Somewhere in the distance, she thought she heard a motorcycle, beyond the hissing of the wind. She clutched her side, fingers digging into the folds of cloth layered around her sheath of body armor.
“Aw, babe… You say that like you’ve got a choice!”
She launched herself at him, slamming the whole of her weight into his midriff, her hand latching onto his wrist. She heard the electronic beep of the tether-cuffs locking into place around his arm, and kept pushing forward until she felt the ground give way beneath her.
Maybe it wouldn’t work.
Maybe he would turn to shadow and disappear like smoke on the wind.
Maybe he was solid, and the electromagnetic pull of the matching band on her wrist would be enough to keep him tethered. Bound to her. Plummeting.
One way or the other, Tanith was headed for the Cauldron… and it was going to be a one way trip.
