Cable falling in love with you would include:
You find him taking your side more in X-force group discussions.
Him telling you to be careful for simple stuff like going to take a swim.
When you’re all riding around in Dopinder’s cab and a song you love comes on, you tell Dopinder to turn it up. Usually Cable just grumbles, but now he not only says nothing, but you actually see his foot start tapping next to yours.
Wade makes you laugh while you’re all eating and Cable fusses at him.
“Hey, jackass, you’re gonna make her choke.”
Cable pulling you aside and shielding you with his body on a mission.
Then the two of you make eye contact and it takes him a few seconds to look away.
After the mission, back at the mansion, the others grab drinks and Cable gets one for you as well without you asking him.
When you and Wade joke or play flirt and Cable is in the room, he either clears his throat or leaves the room altogether.
He starts getting overprotective and demanding ways to keep you more out of the line of fire when Wade comes up with a plan of attack for a mission.
He keeps getting in your way on the mission, blocking you with his shield and not letting you fight at all.
Back at the mansion, you finally confront him. “What is your problem?”
“My problem?” He gets in your face. You’re my problem, sweetheart. Constantly in my way.”
You gape at him. “I’m in your way? You put yourself in my way! No one asked you to be my protector! Why do you care?”
“Because I care about you, you little brat!”
