GRANDPA CAESAR
Being persecuted by seemingly endless stand users kept everyone on edge, they learned to work with eachother while complimenting in battle to defeat all kinda of enemies. (Y/N) looked back at what they had accomplished so far and smiled to herself, half a month on the road and she felt connected with her companions like they had been friends for years.
When the journey first started she didn’t know what to do, all she knew was that she wanted to help and if there was anyway she and her stand could help, she would. But she barely knew this people! The tension of the issue at hand kept everyone to themselves and not really worrying about knowing eachother so (Y/N) decided to step back a little and simply observe or aid if needed. Her little plan to stay low did great for a few days until Mr. Zeppeli decided to walk up to her and start some conversation, she was nervous of saying something wrong or sharing too much but Mr. Zeppeli (he insisted on her calling him Caesar but being much older than her she simply stuck with Mr. Caesar) kept chatting as they were seated on a park bench after eating some lunch and that was slightly relieving.
“Look (Y/N), I know starting a journey to the unknown can be terrifying” he said to her looking at the vast sea infront of them after Polnareff joined the group “But if you ever need anything, and I mean anything, you can always come to me!”
(Y/N) smiled and nodded her head with a slight blush, Mr. Caesar reminded her of a caring grandpa (like Mr. Joestar probably was to Jotaro!) and she was happy to hear those words from him.
Days turned into a couple of weeks and she was practically glued to his side. She slowly started to get to know the rest of the crusaders, laughing with Polnareff, admiring Mr. Joestar and Mr. Caesar dynamic, learning new things with Avdol and chatting away with Kakyoin and Jotaro about student’s stuff. Caesar watched over her like a parent would and even if he said he wasn’t one to pick favorites, the preference was pretty clear (not like the others minded anyway)
Walking along desserted streets of their new location, everyone kept an eye out for a place to rest or any potential attack. While Caesar and Joseph argued about the map their received from a local, (Y/N) walked behind Polnareff and Avdol with Jotaro and Kakyoin trailing close. She looked around some of the shops and what seemed to be the local market, eyes inspecting all kinds of things in display and barely noticing Jotaro and Kakyoin now walking on both sides of her.
“It’s pretty different from the last city, isn’t it?” Kakyoin smiled down at her amuzed face. She looked at him and laughed.
“It sure is!”
Looking back at the front she noticed both older men stopped walking (stopping everyone else) and still arguing almost to the point of screaming at each other. She sighed trying not to laugh at their childish nature and slipped without being noticed to a near table filled with pretty looking jewerly, not noticing her group walking again.
“Good evening miss! would you like to try some of this fine jewerly?” a man talked from behing the table under a makeshift stand, he looked way older than her and she tried to ignore the look he gave her.
“Oh I’m just looking, thanks” she smiled politely
“I’m sure it’ll look gorgeous on you miss!” said merchant walked around the table and she took a few steps back from him and the table
“Thank you but I-“ she tried to continue on her way when he reached out to her
“What about this one?” the man went to grab her wrist on an attempt to wrap the gold bracelet around it but another much bigger body blocked his way.
“We have to get going” Caesar eyed the man down as he almost ran back behind the table in fear. The italian man was just as well built as his great Joestar friend and he could be pretty scary if he intended.
He turned and wrapped his arm around her shoulder as they walked away.
“Are you okay, tesoro? don’t go drifting off like that you got me worried when I didn’t see you!”
She blushed as she muttered some apologies that the older man accepted after checking she was trully alright and not disturbed by the precious interaction. Apparently they found a place to eat and the rest of the crusaders were already seated at a table. With only two chairs left she sat down right beside Jotaro, Caesar sitting on her other side. While the old man went on talking with Polnareff on his other side, (Y/N) read silently the menu.
“Are you alright?” Jotaro spoke up just for her to hear “You scared us when we looked back and you weren’t there”
“I- uhm-“ she blushed madly. It was no secret that the ever stoic Jotaro Kujo was handsome as hell, being known back in Japan for his good looks and delicuent reputation. (Y/N) still couldn’t believe he was willingly talking to her sometimes and she did her uttermost to not let her crushing on him show “I’m fine!”
“Good” he said and turned back to his menu, attempting to choose something to eat. (Y/N) let out all the air from her lungs silently and did the same.
But Caesar was a witness and he could swear he saw something in her when looking at the youngest Joestar, it almost reminded him of that little sparkle on Suzi Q’s eyes when her and Joseph were younger and he sighed mentally.
“Say (Y/N), did I ever tell you about the Joestar’s curse?”
He had everyone’s attention now and Joseph rised a thick eyebrow at him.
“The what?” she questioned with a curious nature
“What are you talking about Zeppeli?” Joseph was quick to demand an explanation for Caesar growing grin.
“If you fall in love with a Joestar you might be stuck with them forever!” he exclaimed “I wouldn’t want that happening to you, watch out!”
Her cheeks turned bright red again and tried to avoid to get on Jotaro’s line of sight at all cost. Joseph went on about being nonsense as Caesar replied ‘Then why are Suzi and I still stuck with you!’ They once again engaged in a playful fight (mostly playful from Caesar’s perspective) and everyone around the table laughed at them. Jotaro looked back at her and she almost felt like hallucinating the smirk on his lips.
