🔴EVENING GUILT 🔴 by @fittrainers ⠀ Bram is back. His goal is to lose fat. He knows consumption of caffeine enhances his alertness, efficiency at work and sometimes his motivation to exercise. Therefore, he chooses a large mocha from Starbucks on the way to work each day (also because he likes chocolate). He perceives the drink as a caffeinated wake up tool and fails to appreciate the relationship between the ‘cofeeish’ drink, its caloric density and its impact on his calorie deficit. ⠀ After work, Bram (who enjoys Mars bars) is watching Formula 1 and feels slightly hungry. His perception of Mars bars is that they are bad for his fat loss goal - but Bram likes Mars bars. Finally, Bram succumbs and consumes the Mars bar. He feels devastated, let down and guilty. He decides to return to the newsagent and purchase another Mars bar and 2 doughnuts 🍩🍩. In his head he’s failed - why stop now. ⠀ Prior to the halftime disaster, if Bram had replaced his nutritional perceptions with decisive trusting of nutritional facts, it’s likely that he would have consumed one Mars bar in complete confidence that the palatable marvel he was experiencing still supported his end game (calorie deficit). Furthermore, he may have appreciated the caloric density of his ‘morning wake up’ mocha and replaced it with a lower calorie alternative to allow for consumption of snickers et al. ⠀ 2 months later... Bram cracked it. Nutritional decisions once based entirely on perception and emotion are now determined by caloric values of food in relation to his goal. Bram now sources his ‘wake up’ from a black americano as he prefers to eat his calories. ⠀ Perceptively, Bram still believes Max Verstappen will win the championship, but when it comes to nutrition, he now combines use of scientific reason and reality in order to make informed decisions. Bram is enjoying the progression of his fat loss goal and no longer feels guilty when he consumes food. Bram is living the best life he possibly can. 🔥 ⠀ #starbucks #caffeinehit #noguiltfood #marsbar #fittrainers #calories #caloriecounting #coffee #mocha #coffeelover #starbuckscoffee #diet #fatlosshelp #fatl https://www.instagram.com/p/B2kBp-8lPwX/?igshid=vgdgqdgvdq
