Another Hogwarts chapter is complete. Recently it was Knarlenbarn, a birthday celebration for Barnaby Lee’s pet, Knarl the Knarl. With the help of Xenophilius Lovegood, Madam Puddifoot, Andre Egwu, Professor Flitwick and even Millicent Bagnold, the British Minister For Magic herself for helping reunite Knarl and his twin brother, Karl, and to give them the best Knarlenbarn ever! As a token of appreciation, Barnaby gifted me with a silver Knarl necklace…such a sweet Slytherin he is 🐍☺️.

5. What fanfic of yours should everyone have read?

I don't think any of my fics are necessarily mandatory reading but...for RWRB I would say I am most proud of my 100k plus baby Speak for Yourself. Lone Star I actually am extremely proud of Still Waters Run Deep and Illuminated (which I know aren't my biggest but I just think my writing is the best in these).

13. What is my planning process?

Dump every thought I've ever had in a google doc and then try and divide by chapters. I also have a whole google doc of funny things I've overhead that I use as dialogue prompts 😂👀

16. Do I use writing prompts, headcanons, sentence starters etc?

I use my idiotic overhead google doc, unhinged convos with friends on discord, unhinged convos with my partner and also poetry/books I read as prompts! sometimes I just come up with rogue ideas in the shower - the shower is the best thinking place.

34. How did I find the magical world of fanfics?

You know weirdly it WASNT through Harry Potter even though I was in that fandom for years. I actually got hooked at the tender age of 13 watching Veronica Mars and wanting more LoVe content!

28. Prompt:

"What?" TK asks, licking buttercream icing off his fingers in a way which is inherently dangerous for Carlos' sanity.

Carlos tries to fix him with a frown, but he knows it looks half-hearted. These things can't be helped. His fiancé is objectively adorable, even when he's being horribly wrong about wedding cake flavours.

"I said," Carlos repeats, slipping the cool metal of the fork through his lips and watching TK's eyes follow its trajectory, "red velvet is not the correct answer."

"How is there a correct answer? You asked me what my favourite is," TK asks, arching an eyebrow. "The test is subjective."

"Red velvet is just cocoa with food dye. It's a choice, but it's a bad choice," Carlos shrugs, licking icing off the tip of the fork. Apparently, two can play this game.

TK groans. "You're going to need to put that down right now."

"Why?" Carlos asks, plastering an innocent expression on his face as he dips the fork gently into the icing, before one of TK's hands encircles his wrist.

"You're lucky we brought this home to taste, babe," he murmurs. "It would have been really unfortunate if I'd had to do this in the middle of the store. I might have been at risk of arrest from my favourite officer of the law."

"Do what?" Carlos breathes, allowing the fork to fall from his fingertips without a second thought.

TK smirks, drawing him in for a kiss that is all tongue and a bit of teeth and devoid of pure intentions. "I'm in the mood for different kind of tasting," he whispers, "and I think you're going to agree with my choice."
