A Calbet and a Buli
I like this game. Mostly this cabbage child.
shower thought for a mini-quest line in louise hill as part of the dailies grind
old farmhand asks you to help someone else and when you turn it in, gives you the option of revealing that you’ve helped calbet (which loses affection)
calbet gives you the option of insulting his hair when he gives you the hairstyle quest (which loses affection)
so what if old farmhand asks you to “quest once”. then you go and you insult calbet’s hair. and then you have the option of telling farmhand that you hurt calbet’s feelings.
even though the old man and the kid have a rivalry going on, i don’t think they HATE each other. so what if instead of losing affection because you helped calbet, you lost affection because you bullied him? maybe lost even MORE than the normal option?
i think that’d be a good message. “no rewards for hurting a 12 yo.” but also, it would show that farmhand DOES care about calbet ... even if he’s a little obnoxious cabbage head.
(and yes i know negative affection is also “rewarded” but let me have this ok)
Cabbage boy...
calbet asked me for melee weapons 4 times today so i think i understand how it is that the farmhand has beef with a 12 year old, cuz now i do too.
I’d like to think that Mori feels a sort of familiarity when she lands in Louise Hill, some left over residue from the site’s beta. She doesn’t have actual memories, though, just a vague feeling a deja vu. Of course, Calbet thinks it’s weird and very uncool of her to constantly make weird comments about it.
I love Calbet so much. He’s the embodiment of the “what are you, twelve!?” archetype and I’m adopting him immediately.
