This artwork is about putting the pieces back together — not just visually, but emotionally. The mandala in the center feels like my attempt to find balance and peace within myself. It’s made up of cutouts from magazines, which I chose because they represent bits and pieces of life — things I’ve seen, felt, or experienced that all play a role in who I’m becoming.
The little hand-drawn figures connected by strings are kind of like reminders that I’m not walking through this alone. Even when I feel isolated, there are still invisible threads linking me to others — whether it's memories, past conversations, or the people still with me now. That idea gives me comfort.
I added the moon faintly in the background because to me, it stands for hope — something quiet and steady, even when everything else feels uncertain. It’s not always bright or obvious, but it’s there.
And then there’s the rough, grunge-like texture underneath it all. That part feels messy and imperfect, and honestly, that’s intentional. Recovery isn’t clean or linear. It’s complicated, emotional, sometimes frustrating — but it's real. Even with all that chaos, I’m still creating something meaningful.
Putting this together helped me see that healing isn’t about fixing everything, but embracing the process — the good, the hard, and everything in between.
