It’s too hot in my apartment (again) today, so I am at the big campus library working away on the sermon for Sunday. I appreciate the ac and all the natural light.

8.3.17// Good day for my writing but I'm so damned slowly! And I also had lunch with some uni friends, we chatted a lot, we had coffee and “Mohnkuchen” - poppy seeds cake, apparently quite popular here in DE - , we had such a nice time but my writing is suffering. I know, I know, students should treat themselves and don´t forget social life but I´m counting the days brokenly and it makes me so sick. 6000 Words in 10 days. LET´S DO THIS!

How to tell it’s finals week if you work at a campus library:

Your boss sends out an email about how to deal with customer’s during “Whiney Week”

The art’s and crafts library’s cash register has about $300 more cash than what the bare minimum is allowed.

Even though we have free coffee during Whiney Week, the cafe cash register is often $100 over the bare minimum.

You have almost no free time at your desk and are constantly running to get biology models.

And everyone is trying to get time off to study cause it’s finals.

3.2.17// long and quite productive day. I had an intense seminar in the morning and I´m quite satisfied with my speaking. Then I had a long study session in the library (from 2 pm to 7 pm), I´m so deep into my readings, I´m working on Röggla´s Essenpoetik Essays and it´s just the beginning. Next week I want to collect all my readings so that I can start building a bibliography and writing my paper. I also found an awesome Spotify playlist, so calming, inspiring, so good for focusing!  Soundtrack: Intense Studying playlist on Spotify

Almost done with the fall semester and I'm just now finding out that the second floor of the library is the quiet floor... I've been struggling on the first floor for no reason i guess😭
