While nowadays players will focus on disruptive effects to deal with any problems on the board, there's always a place to simple stat manipulation to stay on the lead. Some monster we'll face will easily outmatch ours with their stats, as otherwise they'll have protection from various effects to reduce their weaknesses. That's why relying in some options to change monsters' ATK and DEF is always helpful, as not only can force the opponent to retaliate from taking the offense but also assure damage even if the monsters we attack aren't defeated.

"Aromage Cananga" is one of the few members arround the Aroma archetype, and like sits allies carries two abilities involving healing ourselves. As long our Life Points are higher than the opponent's, "Cananga" will weaken all opponent monsters' ATK and DEF by 500. Otherwise, each time we heal each turn "Cananga" will return an opponent's Spell and Trap bnack to the owner's hand. While the last effect might only be effective against certain Decks, "Cananga" weakening effect might not seem much but it can actually become quite troublesome under proper management. Combining this effect not only with the many healing options of the archetype but also other effects to make the stat difference even bigger, "Cananga" might not stand out like other Aroma monsters but can still create lots of trouble.

"Cananga" gains some respectable options to become available when truly needed. As a Plant, by just tributing "Lonefire Blossom" by its own effect we can summon virtually any monster belonging to the Type from inside our Deck. Similarly "Aromaseraphy Jasmine" can tribute any monster under our arrows to summon "Cananga" in return, but be aware that will do so only in Defense Position. If not brought this way, "Humid Winds" will let us obtain an Aroma monster to our hand so either we Normal Summon "Cananga" afterwards or is summoned by an effect like "Aromage Jasmine". Finally and if we are able to mix other options outside the archetype, "Crane Crane" can revive "Cananga" in later turns to work together as materials of bigger monsters.

The bouncing effect of "Cananga" is quite easy to activate with a variety of effects such as "Aromaseraphy Angelica" and "Humid Winds" healing us at the best timing, but since will mostly disrupt Continuous Traps and some particular effects it becomes easily situational. On the other hand, the weakening ability of "Cananga" will become the highlight of this creature, as even though might not seem much it still becomes troublesome for the opponent to ovecome our monsters or atleast mitigate incoming damage. But in an archetype arround big setups on the field obviously "Cananga" won't be alone on the board with this effect, as by grouping other effects like "Aroma Garden" and "Aromaseraphy Rosemary" the stat difference will go further to the point we can overcome almost any enemies in a fight. This also includes other copies of "Cananga", so the more we can gather together the weaker the opponent's monsters will be. Combined with cards like "Cactus Bouncer" and "Anti-Spell Fragance" to further restrict the opponent's options, it will take quite a while for the opponent to be capable of overcome the pressence of "Cananga".

Aroma monsters overall are extremely dependant of healing effects and permanent cards for maximum efficiency, and while "Aromage Cananga" is not that different it has a slight advantage other other members. The ability to bounce Spells and Traps will only become truly effective against very particular targets like Continuous Traps and equipment on a monster, therefore only useful when facing specific Decks as we can chain this effect with one of many healing effects. That allows "Cananga" to focus solely on the weakening effect, keeping opponent monsters under control alone or with cards like "Aroma Garden" as we save our healing effects for our other Aroma monsters. Either by working with several copies of "Cananga" or various effect to limit any other options the opponent might rely on, is an Aroma monster that might not seem much at first but can actually make a big difference as long we keep our Life Points high.
