Bannerfall/Witchcraft SMP WIP art

i just think that bannerfall scott and nom (a blonde mage who could hypothetically select necromantic spells and his brunette knight blacksmith bf(??)) are awfully similar to witchcraft scott and milo (a necromancer who was canonically blonde and his blacksmith boyfriend who he would upend his soul for).

ALSO THEY LOOK SO SIMILAR.

predictably, my “i have a funky little sketch idea :)” has very quickly snowballed into “I HAVE AT LEAST 10K WORDS WORTH OF FIC TRAPPED WITHIN MY SKULL AND IT CANNOT LEAVE IN ANY METHOD OTHER THAN SCREAMING INTO THE VOID” as it is wont to do

anyway, expect a finished sketch and a very long AU rant later. scott and kitty end up being the ones to become Creaking-infested. it’ll make sense later.

A cozy little train ride! Ignore the Marquise in the background—she’s nobody important. Just some rich rat woman.

i was watching a Harpy Express vod a month or so ago, and was greeted with scott, shelby, drift, and avid sitting at a table and talking about their characters going on the harpy express after avid comes back as a half-demon. so me, being the person i am, uh, decided to make art :D!

(ALSO if you don’t know who “the Marquise” is, she’s the character that Rat (the mod creator) played as in his video. As far as I can tell, she’s canonically THE murderer who kills all of the passengers on The Harpy Express, shutting down the train for good, thus making her trip on the Harpy Express it’s last voyage. Eh? Eh?)

[Scott, Avid, Drift, and Shelby are sat at a booth on the Harpy Express map. All of them are in their stage 2 vampire skins.]

Scott: Well this is cute.

[Shelby, Drift, and Avid talk over each other.]

Drift: Yeah, this is really nice!

Shelby: …adorable, actually!

Avid: —was so scary.

Scott: This is an alternate t— this is an alternate timeline vampi— oh my god, guys, this is the four of us in an alternate timeline, go on a train. We go on the harpy express!

[Various “awe!” sounds from the other three]

Avid: ‘Cause you didn’t even know what a train was, remember—

Scott: No!

Avid: —We had to teach you what a train was!

Drift: —do you like it?

Scott: Well, I mean, well I’ve— well I’ve been on one by now. If this is the post— I’m assuming this is the post-cinematic thing where [Avid’s] come back as a half-demon.

Drift: Oh yeah, this isn’t the first one, yeah you’re so right.

Shelby: Y’know, I almost wore my— my future skin today. I wanted to switch it up.

Drift (gasping): Me too!

Scott: Next time! Next time, we all wear our future skins.
