i have a The Flight x Empires conspiracy theory
(this may require some ESMP knowledge but i will do my best to explain to those without)
so in Empires SMP Season 1, Scott was the ruler of Rivendell. He got ice powers, found out about a destined prophecy, got hit in the face with a reincarnated souls reveal, went on an elsa arc a self-imposed exile, all that good stuff.
the thing that sticks out to me is the reincarnation bit.
so basically there's these stag gods, Aeor and Exor. Aeor is "good" (debatable on how you percieve him), and associated with snow. Exor is "evil" and associated with fire. these two stag gods are brothers.
now it's been a while since i've brushed up on my empires lore, but if i remember correctly, there's basically been a long line of reincarnated souls. in each lifetime, the souls are brothers whose lives are literally intertwined (a la Double Life if that makes sense), and they'll be given fire/ice magic by higher deities and forced to fight for the good of the prophecy and whatnot. it went from aeor and exor, then to alinar and conal, and then to scott and xornoth. and as far as im aware, scott finally broke the prophecy chain by stabbing himself with the Rune Blade.
so now it's time for the conspiracy part of this conspiracy theory:
what if pyro dagmeare and scott borealith are the next reincarnations of this cycle, but this time, it's without any of the weight that the prophecy bears.
king scott of rivendell died and severed the chains of the prophecy, and so now in the next cycle, the reincarnations no longer have to carry the whole "oh yeah by the way there'll be an eternal blizzard thats Your Fault and your lives are tied together and you have to fight your own brother to the death" thing.
aaaand then they both get stuck in ANOTHER corruption scenario anyway. hey i'm just sayin', if pyro gets corrupted, i Will be drawing art of tf!scott with the Rune Blade.

a FLIGHT theory
predictably, my “i have a funky little sketch idea :)” has very quickly snowballed into “I HAVE AT LEAST 10K WORDS WORTH OF FIC TRAPPED WITHIN MY SKULL AND IT CANNOT LEAVE IN ANY METHOD OTHER THAN SCREAMING INTO THE VOID” as it is wont to do
anyway, expect a finished sketch and a very long AU rant later. scott and kitty end up being the ones to become Creaking-infested. it’ll make sense later.
5+1 empires smp to vampires smp scott
This idea has to be put online somewhere or else my brain might implode!! It’s essentially 5 times Scott surprised the other vampires, and one time they surprised him, if that makes sense? Each chapter focuses on a new vamp (not particularly in this order):
Shelby - A little after their turning, she and Scott are wandering through the forest. The conversation eventually turns to the supernatural, and Shelby asks him about myths and folklore of his time (and whether or not he’s ever seen Bigfoot). He brings up the pantheon of his time, and eventually shows her some Rivendellian constellations of Alinar fighting Conal (see image at bottom). He mentions the Codfolk and Oceanfolk, as well as the Faeries of House Blossom. He somehow forgets to mention that he’s an elf.
Owen - The castle is quiet, and it’s just Owen and Scott working on the roof. After some casual conversation, Scott pokes a bit too far, and Owen clams up. Upon realizing that it’s about a past lover (Louis), Scott goes quiet. Eventually, he speaks up again, talking wistfully of his own love, who—as he put it—“was lost sometime after the ocean dried.” He doesn’t say much about his lover, but Owen finds a companionship in their shared loss.
Pyro - While walking to a beacon (Pyro unwisely used up his energy to bat), Scott inquires about Pyro’s studies. This inadvertently launches him into a 15-minute rant on historical facts and odd notes. Suddenly, Pyro stops, and turns to Scott. Because Scott is very, VERY old, and is likely a firsthand account of events that no historian has ever known of. So Scott, with some hesitance, explains the Empires, his fellow rulers, languages, religions; Pyro prods about one of the few events he knows about, the Rapture. Before Scott can answer, they conveniently stumble upon the beacon.
Apo - Much to Scott’s chagrin, Apo does not react well to being turned. He understands her feelings on the matter, but is worried, because she just *won’t eat.* Eventually, he finds her almost withered in a corner of the Pale Forest. He sits next to her casually, and says, unprompted, “I didn’t want this either, Apo.” She doesn’t believe him at first, but he tells her that he doesn’t even remember being turned. He died by his own hand—she gapes at that—and, next thing he knew, he was pushing himself out of a glass coffin, two small pricks in his neck. He doesn’t even know who sired him. He looks at her and says that, regardless of how she was turned, she does need to keep trying. Food is food; she’s killed animals before, surely, this is no different. He walks off before she can respond, but she starts gaining more color to her face after (Well. As much as a vampire’s face can.)
Drift - A few weeks after Drift’s turning (like a week before Avid dies), Drift and Shelby share a glance over the table. All of the vampires happen to be gathered in the castle’s dining hall, not including Apo. Drift stands, and says boldly that she and Shelby are dating, and if anyone has a problem with it, then they can talk to the girls’ claws. Everyone is fine with it, to their surprise (yknow. Period-typical homophobia), though Scott hasn’t spoken. Everyone glances at him with mild concern because literally everyone in that room is some shade of gay, but he just looks surprised. “Is- is that not normal, now?” In the Empires, nobody cared about who you fancied, just about whether or not you were an awful person. Drift and Shelby (and Avid, who is secretly screaming because his gay crush might be requited (it’s not, but he can hope)).
Scott - It’s 2006 in New York. Scott and Drift are hanging out, waiting for Shelby to get back from her first successful Vampire Diaries book club. She eventually comes back, and starts gushing about these wonderful siblings who came, Lizzie and Jimmy. Scott is mildly shooketh, and asks to tag along to her next meeting. When he gets there, he sees Lizzie (now human sized, though her blue eyes glimmer with untold power), and Jimmy (no longer a fish, but still wholly recognizable). Reunions ensue; most of the other Emperors are still alive due to some magical shenanigans.

i was perusing the Wild Life wiki a while ago (as one does) and was flicking through scott's skins for art reference (as one does) and stumbled upon a gray, mossy one in the wild life section. apparently, every single wild life player had a custom skin made for if they died and got resurrected by the necromancy power. a few of my personal favorites:
They look ENTIRELY too cool to not be recognized. like!!! all of them look mildly overtaken by some sort of moss? i wish i'd gotten to see lizzie's in the series itself, but it gives me so many ideas anyway. (don't get me started on the bannerfall zombie apocalypse au that sprung into my head. oh my god, it's. it's Bad. it's such a brain worm that i'll probably rant about later.)

hey did you guys ever watch dead end on netflix. did you ever watch the main characters flourish together in a community that they felt welcomed by and loved in. did you watch barney feel finally accepted in a place with no real expectations where he could tell people that he was trans or gay and he would be welcomed and supported with open arms. did you watch norma feel surrounded by love and joy for a special interest that she's cared about all her life.
did you watch norma's heart be ripped out of her chest when she found out what pauline really was. who she really was. did you watch norma spiral when she found out that a person she'd idolized was someone responsible for ruining the lives of not only her staff members but also someone who that idol had even considered her best friend.
did you watch as norma came to terms with the fact that pauline pheonix was an awful person. did you watch as she quit her job at the park (albeit for an unrelated reason, but i think she just had too much weighing on her). did you watch as she came home to a house covered wall-to-wall with merch of a person who she no longer feels any sort of love for. did you watch as her world fell apart as she had to erase her entire list of ambitions and to-dos and realize that she'd built her identity around the shows and movies and music and the career of pauline pheonix, a woman whose legacy is stained with horror.
did you watch as she came back to her job at that theme park anyway--went back to a place built on the legacy of a person she despises--not for pauline, but for the life she'd built there and for the friends who still worked there.
