Bobby is concerned.

Buck hasn't been himself lately. He's been drifting between his usual exuberant presence and a disconcerting absence– a dash of recklessness sprinkled here and there.

Even now, as they're all relaxing up in the loft, Buck is sitting on the couch, his mind a million miles away.

"I might get a bike." Buck finally says out of nowhere.

"Need help picking out the training wheels?" Chimney jokes.

Buck fixes him with a small smile- acknowledging the joke, but still half stuck in his own mind. "A motorcycle, actually. I used to have one when I was in Pennsylvania. Until I– uh, crashed it."

The words send Bobby immediately back to a few years ago. Knelt besides Kenny as he spent his last minutes on the phone with his son.

It was jarring then. It's still jarring now.

Bobby refuses to risk reliving that again. Especially with someone as close to him as Buck. He'll be damned if he ever has to receive that call.

"Absolutely not."
