"Ain't no fair ones, now niggas'll jump your moms." (c) Kiss
I've been in such a New York mood this week for two reason:
Joey Bada$$ taking on the entire LA by himself (eventually some Pro Era guys jumped in) and whoopin' their ass to the point where some notable LA media members is mad and making threats. A Brooklyn nigga putting the entire city on his back to remind niggas who the fuck holds the crown.
The Eastern Conference Finals series of the New York Knicks vs. Indiana Pacers and how confident I was before the series started in the Knicks making it to the NBA Finals. Time will still tell, but it's not great right now.
One of y'all might see an artist on here and raise an eyebrow, but I can explain.
Biggie's birthday was on 5/21. Usually I'll throw on one of his albums or let his whole discography rock for the day. But this year I wanted to listen to a few songs from him that I rarely listen to. One of those songs happened to belong to the nasty man.
I'm one of those people that went cold turkey on the nasty man's songs. In the case with this song, I haven't heard it in 15+ years. And after listening to the song, I've learned that the nasty man's victims is getting paid from his royalties and they're encouraging people to stream his music. So because of that, I would feel less weird about revisiting one of his songs if I choose to.
It's funny how his songs is going viral on Tik Tok. Specifically Feelin' On Your Booty because of a dance they've made for it and Sex Me because one of them Tik Tok rappers sampled it for one of their songs. So I wouldn't be surprised if his songs makes its way back to the rotation at parties or radio rotations.
