Question: is this Jealous fic going to be Thranduil/Legolas or is it just going to be about Lego not liking B?

I’m thinking of how’s best to answer your question without giving away too much haha.

Okay, the main idea of this fic is of Legolas being jealous of Bard. Legolas isn’t exactly the type to just HATE someone without any reason. So he’s jealous of Bard, for what reason - this will definitely cover the aspect of Thranduil/Legolas. I should probably change my summary up a bit, but basically, Legolas feels threatened by Bard’s entrance into Thranduil’s life. In the chapter I posted, Aragorn states that Legolas has an “unhealthy obsession with your father”. Also as this is in Legolas’s POV, everything to do with the Bard/Thranduil I tagged on AO3 is more background/implied/speculative because it’s what Legolas’s thinks is going on from his observations - is he right or wrong? Who knows.

Maybe some background info would be good: All his life, Legolas pretty much only has Thranduil (mother died before he can even remember anything), so he’s very possessive of him (Thranduil doesn’t help cases by showering his son with all his love and attention). And then suddenly, this guy appears who seems to be capturing his father’s attention (Thranduil never having shown interest to anyone in that sense before) and so Legolas feels threatened. In what way does he feel threatened? I wish to show the differences between platonic and romantic sense using the twins with Tilda and Legolas’s reaction compared to Thranduil and Bard and Legolas’s reaction sometime in the future (hopefully).

So yeah, there will be Thranduil/Legolas. But it predominantly will be about Legolas and his actions (you know, as the typical jealous bitch - yeah he’s not really a ‘good’ person here.)
