3, 8, 16 and 24? if you're still taking questions
3) what order do you write in? front of book to back? chronological? favorite scenes first? something else? Chronological usually, though I’m prone to getting an idea for a scene and jotting it down then building a fic around it, in which case it sometimes end up being more jumping around.
8) favorite genre to write Existential fluff. idk, That’s not a genre, i just made that up. I have no idea.
16) are there any characters who haunt you? I’m not entirely sure how to define ‘haunt’ here so I’m gonna go with no.
24) have you ever become an expert on something you previously knew nothing about, in order to better a scene or a story? Oh god yes totally. I spent two years writing Trip and Stumble and I’m fairly sure the amount of time I spent studying the UMich course directories and campus map would make me a very qualified consultant for potential students. I also dug really deep into fundie Christian “camps” when writing one of my crisscolfer big bang fics, and I definitely spent a long time reading really gut wrenching accounts of homeless teens while writing the cc homeless Chris au. So much so that the end result was far less trope fic and more me pouring my heart out into a document over how fucked up it is that kids - anyone, but especially kids - live that way.
