Capturing Christianity and the New Apologists
Cameron Bertuzzi and Timothy Bukowski of Capturing Christianity hate atheists. If you think you can join Capturing Christianity or Reason & Religion and share your opinion or have a discussion, you’re wrong. They’ll find any reason to boot you. Christians can post anti-LGBTQ content and show emotion, specifically negative ones like anger and frustration, and they’re not put in check. The second an atheist shows emotion, you’re booted. Christians are still into censorship; there’s nothing new about that. The New Apologists are just new faces. The arguments are the same. The approach is the same. The open disdain for atheists is the same. What they want is to control the discussion, so they basically want permission to offend you. They want permission to be verbose only to not allow you to reply. They want to control the conversation. I will never recommend these pages to anyone. Do any of you know these guys? Has anyone else been a member of these pages? If so, how were you treated and how have these guys, specifically, treated you?
They want to win souls they say. I’m more inclined to believe they want atheists to eventually shun Christianity because Christians are full of hatred. They wish that were the reason atheists reject Christianity. A lot of Christians do suck, but even if these two idiots treated me better, I wouldn’t suddenly be more inclined to “reconcile with Christ.” Christians can be a problem, but the real problem is the demonstrable evidence against Christianity. That’s probably why these New Apologists are Frank Turek all over again: they hate atheists because we’re the biggest threat to their nonsense beliefs and the ministries they base on those beliefs. As an aside, I find it curious that the so-called New Apologists have taken in the dirty laundry of the New Atheists: stridency, a penchant for disrespect, polemics, profanity, dismissiveness and so on. They used to pretend atheism was less attractive as a worldview because of people like Dawkins and Hitchens, but now they have basically become the Christian versions of them with respect to their attitudes and how they approach people who disagree with them. The difference here is that Christians are supposed to loving and meek. American Christians, in general, have lost complete sight of that; that’s why they voted for Trump and his bigotry. Hatred is what drives them. Anyhow, if you become a member of these pages, you’ll be censored. I won’t engage these people on platforms that give them control. I’ll engage them in spaces they can’t control. Right here, on the other hand, I can tell the full story and scar their reputations in the process.
