Help Liz Register Her Car?

Hello lovely people.

Welp. Here I am. Sucking at life and asking for help. I am sorry to do this, but I really could use some assistance.

My 14-year-old Ford Focus has very suddenly kicked the bucket. I am fortunate enough to have a loving Grandpa who sold me his old car for $1,000. Unfortunately, that has wiped out any money I had saved and left nothing to register the car or switch the title with.

It looks like with taxes for the car, license plate fees (who knew THAT was a thing??), and switching the title using a notary, it is going to cost around $230.

Again, I am so sorry to ask for help like this, but it is a bit of an emergency. Any bit helps, and I am so grateful to all of you for even taking the time to read this post. I know so many people have it much worse than I do, so do not put yourself out if you cannot help.

The debts are written in tiny print as 2000 percent without giving the exact amount of money a person would have to pay back. This can result in poor people having to pay back five thousand dollars in three months for borrowing one thousand dollars.

While people who choose to borrow money from payday loans are responsible for borrowing the money, they don’t deserve to be manipulated and misled about how much money they have to pay back. Nobody deserves to be given excessively high debt of thousands of dollars (these sorts of debts and loans are illegal, and its immoral to lend this money to poor and broke people who have no way of paying this money off).
