tattoos: how do you feel about tattoos and piercings? explain.I really appreciate tattoos and piercings, but I personally wouldn’t go for them myself? I have my ears pierced once, and I feel like that’s enough? I’m not a huge fan of ones that aren’t ears? my mum brought me up in quite a conservative way that the only people with tattoos were prisoners, and obviously I know that isn’t the case, but I don’t like the idea of permanently marking my skin with something as I tend to change quite a lot as a person (so basically I have commitment issues). I do love seeing the stories behind why people got certain tattoos etc, I find they’re really personal and tend to be reminders of certain points in their lives and fully respect that.

piercings: do you wear a lot of makeup? why/why not?I used to! if I do wear makeup, it tends to be foundation as coverage, a bit of blush, some neutral eyeshadow, bar eyeliner and mascara with some eyebrow filling. and if I’m feeling pretty, a red lipstick. at the moment, I’m not wearing any makeup though, but I need to change that for when I start work experience so I feel a bit more put together and looking acceptable xD as to why I’m not wearing much at the moment, exam season just came and went, and most of the time I was crying the make up off and I wanted more sleep at that time. also did a trip to Tanzania, so I’m a bit more tanned than usual so my foundation doesn’t match at the moment… I’d really love to learn how to do my makeup so it actually suits my facial features though. (huge respect for people who can do perfect eyeliner)

11:11: name three wishes and why you wish for them.

stability in terms of my physical and mental health. I’d like one month where I don’t have a huge wobble at the moment, and I’m sure my GP would appreciate not seeing me on a regular basis too. it’s starting to even out a bit, but I’d like to know what being stable and “normal” is like and not having a life full of issues every now and again.

I’d really like some decent grades for my recent exams and UKCAT later in the summer so I can apply to medical school. this one is kinda self explained, but after so many years trapped in a cycle of bad mental health, I’d love for this year’s work to be able to prove I can do this and I am “worthy” so to say of getting where I want to go.

I’d really like to get into medical school. I mean holy crap. do I need to explain this one?

Medical friends, I need your help

We are going to play a little game called ‘whats your diagnosis of all of these symptoms’

Patient: Me, 21 year old female

History: -Scoliosis (corrective surgery done at age 12, in September of 2007) -ADHD (currently taking Adderall 20mg) -Seasonal allergies treated with ventolin and nasonex -Migraine headaches (used to be once a year or less, now once a month, treated with maxeran and ketorolac in the ER) -Chronic sinusitis for past year (one about every three months) -Blurry vision in right eye (Started August 2015, thought I needed a rx change, got new glasses, no change on the blurry but it has migrated more towards centre since August, used to be upper right corner of my eye and is now located just off centre. When I close my left eye if I look at something straight on everything to the right is blurry but not what I am looking at, if I move my head at all to the left but keep looking at the object it becomes blurry) 

I had sinus x-rays done and they came back ‘clean’, and I have seen every eye doctor in the city and ‘structurally there is nothing wrong with my eye’. 

Initially the doctorr thought it was the Vyvanse I was taking for ADHD, which I had been on since 2012 at 40mg, so we changed to Concerta which was a disaster and made the blurry vision worse, I have been on Adderall 20mg since late May and the blurry got slightly better without the Concerta but now that time has passed I have noticed it start to creep more towards centre. It is worse when I am tired and although I would say it ‘dosent directly impact daily function’ I do notice on the rare occasion I watch TV in the evening I tend to turn my head so I look more out of the left side of my right eye. 

I have a MRI booked for September but I am curious what all of you medical people have to say, as not only am I getting sick of the sinus infections I am wondering if maybe the two are related? Or I have some horrific tumour or disease that the MRI will turn up and that will be that.

If you have any questions or would like clarification let me know, but I figured reaching out to the medical community couldn't hurt just to see what people think.

Uhh, physical or like personality? Personality is intellect… the ability to understand my sarcasm. Physically I like dem abs. Not a necessity by any means (since I am seriously lacking) but they’re nice to look at. 

11) If you could travel anywhere, where to? 

Tough one, because there are soo many places, and most of those are actually totally doable for me now! I’m going to go with Ireland, to see some of my heritage and cause I’ve heard it’s kickass there.
