A scientist inspired by the Carrionites in Doctor Who to learn how to see patterns and understand complex systems and how to apply it to words, languages, names. Every discovery, every step forward brings a flash of hope and feeling of relief, until another roadblock appears, another contradiction pops up.
The scientist going mad from constant speculation, trial and errors. Piles of documents filled with nonsensical writings and equations to everyone else scattered across the desk. Trying to understand what it means to split a name, bend a language. All done just to question their understanding of reality.
