Let it be known that until Rainbow Rowell addresses the allegations of racism found in her novel Eleanor & Park, & how they have distressed/disturbed readers (especially that of Asian heritage) my participation in the Simon Snow fandom is purely that of celebrating my love for the characters and their story. I do not condone the author in anyway. After the third novel comes out, I have also chosen to cease any purchases from her (books, prints, etc). It’s simply not acceptable!

Lines I noticed after reading Carry On for the second time

•'He pokes around in the refrigerator. Just your typical teenage vampire, getting a midnight snack.'

•'There is no 'this'!' I protest. 'You slept in my arms,' he says. 'Fitfully.'

•'And it's true, to some extent, anyway. I trust Agatha not to be evil. I don't trust her alone with Baz- though i guess i should rethink that, in the light of recent information.'

•'I was hoping for a kiss—i wasn't conspiring against the Mage!' 'You were?' I couldn't tell who i was jealous over in this situation. Both of them, i guess.'

•'We used to give Ebb hell over being a virgin. Hell, she's probably still a virgin. (Does feeling up other girls even count?)

•'I know the official answer, Simon— thanks. In America, they think that you become more powerful the more magic you use.' 'Like fossil fuels.'

•'Everyone's still gossiping about where he's been. The most popular rumours are 'dark coming-of-age ceremony that left him too marked to be in public' and 'Ibiza'.'
