Let it be known that until Rainbow Rowell addresses the allegations of racism found in her novel Eleanor & Park, & how they have distressed/disturbed readers (especially that of Asian heritage) my participation in the Simon Snow fandom is purely that of celebrating my love for the characters and their story. I do not condone the author in anyway. After the third novel comes out, I have also chosen to cease any purchases from her (books, prints, etc). It’s simply not acceptable!

I initially meant to finish this for Mother’s Day (UK) but perhaps it’s better that I didn’t…because this is pretty depressing won’t lie 😢 Piecing together who Lucy was was one of the most intriguing parts about reading ‘Carry On’ though! I’m terrified for when the big realisation must surely hit in ‘Any Way The Wind Blows’… THESE KIDS HAVE BEEN THROUGH SO MUCH ALREADY CAN THEY NOT JUST REST PLS

Tbh didn’t really know how to do what I wanted with lighting so just kinda made it up 

as always, glittery tears are present (NO TEARS ALLOWED WITHOUT GLITTER).

🥀 Natasha Grimm-Pitch 🥀

The legendary mother who hung the moon.

With (UK) Mother’s Day coming up this Sunday, I thought it’d be nice to do some mother-related content! I did a B/W lineart of Natasha way back during Inktober 2019 and decided to finally colour it with some watercolours.

Baz’s relationship with his mother Natasha is one of my favourite and more emotional parts of the Simon Snow series 😭❤️ I based her appearance off how she looks in Simon’s Visiting (which I assumed is also the way she looks in the portrait Simon recognised her from!).
