In Your Times of Peril - Dragon Age Kiss Week Day 6

Prompt: Reunion - Daphne Hawke & Carver Hawke

Kirkwall is ablaze. Daphne must try to fix the tension caused by the Chantry bombing. With only two Hawkes left in Thedas, she expects to be doing it with only the remains of her friend group to help. Fortunately, she's not expected to do this alone.

I was midway through getting this posted on ao3 when I fell asleep, only to wake up at 1:30 am and finish posting it. I hope everything is coherent when this gets posted later today! That aside, I did have fun with this one. It's much shorted than I expected, especially compared to my outline, but when I got to the end I had nothing else I could add. I hope you enjoy!

“There’s too many signs, Carver… it’s going to be tonight, and I want you to promise me that we’re going to see each other when the sun comes up,” Malia whispered the moment the tent flap dropped, and her brothers blue eyes were settled back on her face.

”It’s a battle, Lia... I can’t...”

”Just promise me, Carver,” Malia growled, a frown beginning to mar her features before a horn rang out across the camp and officers outside Carver’s tent calling for their men to gather proved her instincts right.

Prompt: Battlefield - The Hawke Siblings

Daphne is the eldest Hawke child. As the older sister, she's supposed to look after Bethany and Carver. No matter what, she's going to keep them safe and heal all their injuries. Or so she believes.

I rotate the Hawke siblings around in my head SO much. Especially the dynamics between Hawke and the.... healthy sibling. I just think there's so much potential and I have some plans to poke at it and see what I can do with them. Anyways I hope you enjoy the fic!
