the window is slightly cracked open in the car, but the air conditioning is at full blast and you’re too lazy to turn it down. the instrumental music from the radio has dulled out into a muddy background noise, almost slowed down in the back of your mind. you’re not sure if you’ve heard this track before. it’s all melting together. the sun has just started to set, and the large sky above is turning into a gradient of different pinks, purples, blues, and gold, distracting you from the streets ahead lined with telephone poles and littered with other cars, full of people possibly feeling the same emotions as you. streetlights ahead seem to stop red as you approach them, giving moments for you to ponder your surroundings and admire the scarce, thin clouds down by the horizon. 

you feel almost depressed for one reason of another, but it’s a familiar feeling you’ve learned to tune out along with many others as you’ve gotten older. it’s a sense of longing for something you’ve lost, but you’re not exactly sure what that is. 

you’re crying, but you can’t seem to put your finger on why.

granite fountains, preferably surrounded by some sort of garden with overgrown bushes intertwining into the water. art museums (god, wonder why). greek and roman statues, namely simplistic ones. lemon lime soda and curly straws. bruises on your limbs and no idea where you got them. laughing in spite of feeling hurt by what someone said.
