A heartbreaking Cassie x reader where during one of her outbursts, Cassie punches and emotionally abuses the reader for trying to stop her from dating Nate, which makes the reader ask "Who the fuck are you?"?
WHO ARE YOU?
fandom: euphoria
parings: cassie x f reader
warnings: swearing, violence
“Cassie, you aren’t thinking straight,” you said, watching the blonde girl as she paced around her room. “Nate is Maddy’s ex boyfriend, and Maddy is your best friend,” you said.
“I love him!” Cassie yelled, glaring over at you. “They aren’t dating, why shouldn’t I be allowed to date him?!”
“It’s the principle, Cas plus he abused Maddy,” you sighed, pinching the bridge of your nose.
“He wouldn’t do that to me!” Cassie screamed, stalking over to your. Your eyes widened, moving back on her bed. “He wouldn’t do that to me,” she repeated, her voice calm.
“He would,” you replied. “What makes you different to Maddy?” You asked.
Cassie raised her hand, slapping your across the face. Your hand flew to your cheek, eyes watering at the stinging sensation.
“Nate is in love with me and I am in love with him!” She yelled. “You’re just jealous,” she smirked, crossing her arms in front of you.
“Why would I be jealous?” You asked, blinking away tears.
“Because you like me, you always have. You make it so obvious,” Cassie laughed. You looked up at her, eyebrows furrowed. “Well guess what Y/N, I would never go for you. You repulse me, I barely even want to be your friend,” Cassie said.
Tears streamed down your cheeks at her cruel words. You stood up, glaring at the girl you once called friend. “Who the fuck are you?” You asked before pushing past her and leaving her forever.

rue:
rue is definitely going to be supportive of you when you come out, in fact she seems like the kind of person who would help you come out/realize that you're non-binary in the first place
like i can imagine you guys hanging out at her house, your house, fezco's gas station, etc. when you bring it up and she is so good at helping you figure out your thoughts and eventually come to the conclusion that you are non-binary
i doubt that she would be celebrating or throwing a party or anything extravagant when you come out though
she'd probably congratulate you, confirm what your new pronouns were, and then it's business as usual
it's not meant to be rude but i just don't think her perception of you will be altered much, if at all
she probably sees you as a younger sibling and so if somebody uses the wrong pronouns to you i can totally see her stepping in and defending you, especially if you're particularly shy or introverted
she would also be a total champ at respecting your pronouns, like once you come out you will never hear her mess up or forget
fezco:
fezco would probably be a little confused about what non-binary really means
like it would take a while for him to really conceptualize it and understand what it entails
despite this he's still going to be supportive even if he doesn't really understand it
he would do his best to try and respect your pronouns but i feel like he would slip up a bit in the beginning
after he realizes though he would definitely correct himself though
like rue, i can see him getting defensive if someone used the wrong pronouns with you, especially if you guys have a platonic relationship where it's almost familial
even if you guys were in a romantic relationship he would still defend you though
he probably wouldn't make a huge deal about it when you come out, just congratulating you and maybe asking a few questions
jules:
jules is most definitely going to be supportive of you
she would probably insist on throwing a party or having some sort of celebration when you do come out
she would be so flattered and happy that you trusted her enough to come out to her
i don't think she would ever slip up when it comes to your pronouns
like as soon as you come out and tell her your pronouns she is on top of it
she would definitely get physical/try to get physical if someone refused to respect your pronouns
maddie:
maddie is probably going to be a lot more accepting than you might first think
she will definitely be getting you something to celebrate, maybe like a little cupcake to congratulate you
if someone repeatedly used the wrong pronouns with you, i don't think she would get too physically violent but she would definitely be yelling at them and berating them
she would do her best at respecting your pronouns, but like fez she might slip up every once in a while
once she realizes though she will apologize profusely
like she will feel horrible because it's never done out of spite or hatred it's purely an accident
she might ask you a few questions, maybe just like what it truly means and how you knew you were non-binary
cassie:
cassie will just accept it, no questions asked
i don't see her trying to throw a party or anything, but she might give you a hug, a congratulations, and maybe affirming that you're still important to her
cassie would be surprisingly good at respecting your pronouns
like i know in the show she can come off a bit ditzy but i think she would be proficient in respecting your pronouns
she would do as much as she can to make sure you feel comfortable at school and around her
you coming out wouldn't affect how she sees you
she would definitely try and defend you if someone used the wrong pronouns with you
but let's be real i don't think she would be the best at it
kat:
kat is definitely going to be accepting of you
i can see her wanting to take you out to the mall or somewhere nice to celebrate
kat would definitely take you shopping if you wanted to buy some new clothes/change your wardrobe
kat is going to be really good at respecting your pronouns too
like she'll get them right off the bat and rarely, if ever, use the wrong pronouns
if she does she'll probably correct herself quickly but i don't think she'd want to bring to much attention to it
she would definitely call out anyone that uses the wrong pronouns with you
lexi:
like everyone else, lexi is going to be very accepting of you
i can see her asking you some questions, specifically how you realized you were non-binary, because i think that might be something she wants to know about herself
i can see the two of you guys talking about it for a long time, but she'll be fully engaged the whole time
i don't think lexi is the kind of person to vehemently defend you if someone used the wrong pronouns just because she's not very confrontational
like she'll correct them but if they continue she might just call them a bigot or pull you away/ignore them
she would definitely be apologizing in private with you though and maybe talking bad about that person
Hey bby, can you write a fluff alphabet for Cassie howard? Or Maddy Perez
I love my girl Cassie even tho she makes me livid.
A ctivities - What do they like to do with their s/o? How do they spend their free time with them?
After being flaunted like a piece of meat her whole life, she would just want to stay in and do mundane things with you. She'd want to watch movies, order food, go to the movies; do all the normal things that couples can do and not just party and get wasted and make bad decisions.
B eauty - What do they admire about their s/o? What do they think is beautiful about them?
She would admire your patience and peacefulness. Not to say you didn't get crazy sometimes, not to mean you were boring and plain. But she had only been used to manipulation and unkind words, you were the opposite. You were patient with the fact that she had so much to heal from, to figure out within herself and you gave her that room to do that.
C omfort - How would they help their s/o when they feel down/have a panic attack etc.?
She'd be a bit lost. She was usually the one freaking out, no one to properly help her. So she lacked the tools to help you. It would be something you guys would figure out together through the years.
D reams - How do they picture their future with their s/o?
She wanted something quiet. She wanted a white picket fence lifestyle that wasn't just for show. She wanted you guys and your relationship to be put first and be the priority before bringing children into the world. And. She wanted a pool. No arguments.
E qual - Are they the dominant one in the relationship, or rather passive?
She'd be the more passive one but it wasn't a bad thing or a weakness in this relationship. She would learn how to properly stand up for herself, to speak up for what she needs and wants from you. But she would let you take care of her, to give you her trust and to sit down and relax a bit without worrying that you'd lead her astray.
F ight - Would they be easy to forgive their s/o? How are they fighting?
She would hate fighting. Sometimes you'd need to bicker and have arguments, you'd need to learn that your relationship was strong enough to get through a minor argument. But Cassie like to avoid the issues that she was faced with which turned into an argument in its own. You would continue to be patient though, waiting for her to come around and communicate what's wrong.
G ratitude - How grateful are they in general? Are they aware of what their s/o is doing for them?
Very grateful but never really showed it in the right way. She was bashful about it and she's also not really used to people just doing things and taking care of her just because they wanted to. She was always worrying that it would come with a price, that she would owe you or something. But she was still learning.
H onesty - Do they have secrets they hide from their s/o? Or do they share everything?
She would learn that she didn't have to lie, that she didn't have to worry that her secrets would get her in trouble or that you would dump her or something like that. You wouldn't, she knew this, but something in her head just told her that she had to not tell you, that you would angry, that if she told you about her past and her history that you would be repulsed. She would learn to move on from that and sit you down, explaining everything.
I nspiration - Did their s/o change them somehow, or the other way around? Like trying out new things or helped them overcome personal problems?
You would give her the safety and space to be honest and more trusting that she was in the past, something that she never felt like she could ever do.
J ealousy - Do they get jealous easily? How do they deal with it?
She would be cautious, knowing that you could fall in love with someone else, someone easier with less baggage. It would take her months and months for her to come around and realize she was the lucky one, that you choose her and actively choose her over everyone else around you.
K iss - Are they a good kisser? What was the first kiss like?
Timid at first but eventually it would become her favorite thing to do with you. She wanted to kiss you all the time, your lips, your skin, everywhere. It was how she showed her appreciation. You told her that you felt appreciated to begin with and that sexual acts and heated kisses weren't needed to validate that love.
L ove Confession - How would they confess to their s/o?
It would be bashful, blushy and nervous. You'd be together for months and she would still wonder if you wanted to be with her to begin with so sometimes it would be hard for her to fathom that you loved her in the same way she loved you.
M arriage - Do they want to get married? How do they propose? What would the marriage be like?
You wouldn't need marriage or a ring to let everyone know that you were together but you knew that she wanted a big day to wear a big dress. You knew that she liked the spotlight and what better thing to shine a light on than her love for you.
N icknames - What do they call their s/o?
She called you baby for sure, you really called her sweetheart, the term making her cheeks blush and a shy smile appearing on her soft lips.
O n Cloud Nine - What are they like when they are in love? Is it obvious for others? How do they express their feelings?
She'd be confident being with you until she realized that she was in love with you. She'd pull back a bit, self conscious and trying to self preserve her feelings from getting hurt. She wanted to express her feelings openly but she was still so afraid of you being ripped away from her at any second.
P DA - Are they upfront about their relationship? Do they brag with their s/o in front of others? Or are they rather shy to kiss etc. when others are watching?
She would act however you act. If you were into affection in public wherever you guys were, she would be comfortable. She'd read the room, you could say.
Q uirk - Some random ability they have that’s beneficial in a relationship.
She's an emotional person and I think that helps because it reminds you of how much she's hurt in the past. The only way she could communicate was through tears and you thought she looked absolutely beautiful when she cried. Typically you just telling her 'you look so pretty' while crying or 'you're cute when you're mad', it would immediately take the edge off of her heated emotions and she would be able to calm down and tell you what's actually wrong.
R omance - How romantic are they? What would they do to make their s/o happy? Cliché or rather creative?
She wanted to be cheesy and romantic but she was so used to wanting to be on the receiving end. She would ask the people around her, Lexi and Suze, for advice on what to do to woo you or sweep you off of your feet.
S upport - Are they helping their s/o achieve their goals? Do they believe in them?
She would do anything you asked her to. She wanted you to be happy but she also needed to get out of the mindset that she needed to be this obedient partner to keep you in her life. She would overthink things every day about if she was doing enough or if she needed to perform more, to follow your every word.
T hrill - Do they need to try out new things to spice out your relationship? Or do they prefer a certain routine?
She didn't like surprises. She didn't like when there was this weird vibe in the air that something was being planned that she didn't know about. She was constantly worrying about being humiliated or reacting in a wrong way. So she liked your routine and mundaneness and quietness.
U nderstanding - How good do they know their partner? Are they empathetic?
She would jump to conclusions and stick by those conclusions until you bring up what she's worrying about. She rarely ever spoke up when something comes up that bothers her and that bothered you. Eventually you would get down into the details and both of you would explain further to avoid more of a miscommunication.
V alue - How important is the relationship to them? What is it’s worth in comparison to other things in their life?
She would do anything to avoid losing you. Maybe to a fault sometimes. She would kind of freak out and panic before there was something to panic about in the first place which led to some messes for you to clean up. Eventually she would calm down and learn to value you completely, without worrying that something bad was going to happen.
W ild Card - A random Fluff Headcanon.
She would be completely and utterly hypersexual when you two first get together. Her need to perform and please you would get in the way of her learning more important things about you and vice versa. She would learn over time that you valued the other things, that she didn't need to put on this act and smile through things. That she finally had the ability to safely say no and move on in a happy, stable relationship.
X OXO - Are they very affectionate? Do they love to kiss and cuddle?
She really did love to kiss and hold you. She liked to just lay with you, quiet, no words being shared. Just the two of you on the couch or in bed, even in the middle of the day sometimes. You regulated her, calmed her, not needing much other than a simple hug or kiss to feel better sometimes.
Y earning - How will they cope when they’re missing their partner?
Very needy. She'd be very insecure in the beginning of your relationship and you understood why, you knew Nate and all the fucked up shit he did to the women you know. So you would let her be a bit obsessive and overbearing, giving her time to let you prove to her that she didn't need to be that way.
Z eal - Are they willing to go to great lenghts for the relationship? If so, what kind of?
She would do anything and everything to keep you in her life. Any sacrifice, any compromise, all of it was worth it if it meant that she could hold and love you and call you hers.
