(chin hands) I would love to tell you all about my daughter Rebekah.

Rebekah is a 3’8” gnome, draconic bloodline Sorcerer. She is the tallest in her family thank you very much, and it’s probably because of the dragon’s blood. Long platinum hair that is constantly kept up in an extremely messy bun, a few patches of faint silver dragon scales can be found on various spots of her skin, and her eyes are the bluest of blues. For 30 years she lived with her family in the “downtown” part of her city, Vilmond. Occasionally assisting her mother in her bakery, or working with her father on his tinkering projects, sometimes entertaining her 4 other siblings. But most of the time she could be found with her nose in large tomes while surrounded by other books, papers and other items of study, or practicing her magic whenever she got the chance. (There were uh, maybe, a few accidents in front of the bakery. They weren’t there when she started the Thunderwave, I swear.) Being the lucky little gnome she is, while practicing one day she was approached by the Queen’s Arcanist, Merlyn, and offered the opportunity to be her apprentice. (She didn’t know it then, but Merlyn actually approached her because she could recognize the draconic blood in her.) Of course she jumped on that chance to study magic under one of the greatest arcane casters, and think of the library the castle would have. Three days later she had a packed bag, and was waddling her way in through the castle’s gates. For the next 5 years she studied under Merlyn’s guidance, gaining a significant amount of knowledge on multiple subjects: arcana, history, religion, numerous languages, and (her personal favorite) draconology. She gladly introduces herself as a Draconologist, though it’s not an official title yet and her best friend in the palace, Bitters, will shake her head behind the gnome when it’s said. (Bitters is the dwarven Commander of Vilmond’s army who by some miracle became best of friends with this tiny, excitable gnome obsessed with knowledge.) Somewhere during these 5 years, Merlyn brought Rebekah to the top of a snowy mountainside where the Arcanist revealed her true form of a Silver Dragon. Rebekah almost died this day because she was so excited she nearly bounced off the edge of the mountain.At the start of the campaign, she has been sent on her first quest from The Harpers organization to track down three missing dwarven brothers!

I think that’s it??? I could probably write random traits and headcanons about my gnome daughter all day but that’s her backstory summed up to the best of my lacking ability.
