Ingredients: 1 box chocolate cake mix. 1/2 cup butter, melted. 3 eggs. 1 cup water. 1 cup chocolate frosting. 1 cup crushed chocolate cookies. Green food coloring. Black food coloring. 1 cup black candy melts. 1/2 cup purple candy melts. 1/2 cup orange candy melts. 1/4 cup green candy melts. 1/4 cup edible glitter. 1/4 cup Halloween-themed sprinkles.
Instructions: Preheat the oven to 350F 175C and line a baking pan with parchment paper. In a bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, melted butter, eggs, and water. Mix until well combined. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake according to the package instructions. Let the cake cool completely. Crumble the cooled cake into fine crumbs using your hands or a fork. Add chocolate frosting to the cake crumbs and mix until a dough-like consistency forms. Divide the dough into three equal portions. Add green food coloring to one portion and black food coloring to another. Leave the third portion as is. Take a small amount of each colored dough and roll them into marble-sized balls. These will be the 'witch brew' potion balls. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the black candy melts according to the package instructions. Dip the end of a lollipop stick into the melted black candy and insert it halfway into a cake ball. Repeat for all cake balls. Dip each cake pop into the melted black candy melts, coating it completely. Allow the excess to drip off. Place the coated cake pops in a styrofoam block to set. Melt the purple, orange, and green candy melts in separate bowls. Using a toothpick or a small brush, create 'dripping potion' effects by drizzling the different colored candy melts over the cake pops. Sprinkle edible glitter and Halloween-themed sprinkles over the cake pops while the candy coating is still wet. Allow the candy coating to fully set before serving or packaging the cake pops.
