the thing with modern hamilton au’s

is that you have to accept it as either reincarnation fic, an alternate history fic where our country is decidedly different because who the fuck led us to freedom/was our first president/treasury secretary/etc if they’re all alive now instead, or an alternate reality where the broadway hamilton characters are separate people from our actual white ass founding fathers.  who is on the ten dollar bill??? on the one dollar bill?? if alexander hamilton is a barista at starbucks, does he look at himself every time someone hands him a ten ?? does he wonder why the one dollar bill looks just like his father bother figure??? WHAT DID HE LEARN IN HISTORY CLASS. DID WE EVEN BEAT THE BRITISH IF WASHINGTON IS BORN 283 YEARS LATER. HOW WEIRD IS IT THAT THE FOUNDING FATHERS HAVE THE SAME NAMES AS HAMILTON AND HIS CREW.
