to everyone who got their results today, i was exactly there a year ago from today. and i remember feeling like the world slipped from beneath me. not because i'd done poorly, i did good, i did well. but people had more expectations from me, and i fucking hate that word. expectations. because it's not real. it's a figment of someone's imagination. it's unrealistic. it's like saying pluto's the 9th planet. as if being a dwarf planet is not good enough.

if you're feeling satisfied with what you have, great!!! genuinely kudos, you belong in the top 3% of kids in the country who are genuinely happy and that's something to marvel at. take a break tomorrow, go out, order your favourite food , watch a movie. celebrate!!
