@hiighking said: “ it’s like remembering something from your childhood, and you’re not sure if it’s your memory or a friend’s memory, and then you realise sadly it’s just some photo in an old book.”
danny knew the feeling all too well. sometimes he feels like his past is sort of a blur that may or may not have happened. the fact that he sort of moved on away from home quicker than everyone else sealed the deal in his memories fate. things were missed, but that was okay -- life moved on, and so did he. he nods though, mostly agreeing with the sentiment. “ but wouldn’t you rather be the photo in the book than not be there at all? ” a shoulder lifts in a half shrug before he continues. “ i’d rather look back at photos and know that i was there than to look back at them and not be in any of them. i know i had fun, i can see the smiles and remember the feelings in that moment. it’s not all so bad i guess. ” was danny mahealani becoming wise in his years? probably not -- but he’d pretend.

Matías couldn’t believe his own luck in terms of friends, especially when it came to Silas and his forever endearing attitude of wanting to try new things with him. Most people would undoubtedly have whined themselves back to sleep if Matías had approached them with the proposition to sign up for a knitting class in the middle of the week. Although Silas hadn’t exactly jumped with joy upon hearing his friend’s next big idea of fun, he was yet willing to try. It was definitely enough for him.
Stopping outside the main sign pointing people in the direction of the class, Matías turned to face Silas with a smirk to his lips. “You ready? I still think we should try and do matching scarfs for winter, that way we can find each other way easier in case we get lost inside a snowstorm or whatnot.” Was it a likely scenario? Hardly, but a fun one to imagine nonetheless.
