Ok, that last ask made me think... I just wrote something where a bigger pair is mentioned (one's remembering about the other etc), but the focus is the relationship between the rare pair and how it affects them. Does it count as rare pair, right? right? 😭 please say it does i didn't sleep to be able to finish it for today lmao

Oh gosh hahaha I've been there re: staying up all night to finish something for an event 🥴 but don't worry, you have nothing to stress about!! Larger pairs can be mentioned or appear in the background - the important part is that the rarepair is the focus, and it sounds like that's true in your case :-)

Personal headcanon from my longfic: Matt's always liked fireworks, but the sounds are too much for him. At Wammy's House Era™ he'd always cover his ears while screaming to Mello how cool it looked. Let's say... time didn't change him that much. And Mello just turned a bit softer.
