TMNT - April O'Neil

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was one of my favorite cartoons growing up. I was immensely happy that I got the chance to join the Character Design Challenge #86. The theme for that challenge was to redesign/create a fan art of TMNT. I chose April as my character that I wanted to "redo." As much as I love the high school student version of April O'Neil in the 2012 reboot, I still have a strong affinity for the older photojournalist version of the original series. Here is my version of the original April O'Neil.

Singer Bofur at Rivendell! I drew this to participate in the Character Design Challenge on Facebook, but unfortunately I didn't have time to sign up (in fact I'm still waiting for approval in the group). One of the coolest scenes from the first movie, Bofur stepping onto Rivendell's pedestal and singing a fun tavern song that animates all the other dwarves! Ps: I have also proposed this drawing to The Tolkien Society!!

Done in Photoshop. I thought of making the hunter an Eagle-Man, and the eagle a Mongolian Harpy. Hopefully it fits within the guidelines, I was gonna do something more traditional, but I thought this would be more unique.

My entry for this month Character Design Challenge with the theme of “Ghosts & Poltergeists”. 

My character is a Ghost Lady that was waiting for her loved one one day in a park. The wind pulled away her umbrella and while chasing it she met her death in the icy cold lake. She will stay as a ghost on that same park till she meets her loved one. 

For this one I inverted my usual black lines to white and I kinda like how it did turn out.
