personally i dont see them as having been romantic given kaynes "love, or lets call it like" line (& i hc arthur as aro bi. twinning). they hit it off in university and fall into a sort of friends with benefits situation. between the two of them they know its platonic and theyre fine with that! marriage and getting pushed into the romantic label embittered things between them, along with the surprise pregnancy that was the catalyst for that happening

still figuring out what happened to get them to how arthur was on the night of faroes birth tho. the pressure couldve led them into lashing out at each other because who else is there to bitch at?

the crossdressing headcanon isnt really something i can proper explain? i started from how i view their relationship dynamic and started wondering what other ways they might be unconventional for their time. lo and behold! bella is canonically a seamstress so she would be able to make or alter clothes for this perhaps

ooh fun question!! hair. definitely hair. my current style is absolute sensory hell on the neck so any opportunities to get it shorter are going to be seized with both hands. i dont know if this properly counts as character customization but id wanna give myself a cool cane for knee reasons (silly answer: make myself taller lmao)
