“Oh, my brother- you don’t have to follow in your bloodline. Oh, we got each other- and if you got tomorrow, then you still got time. To break the chain that left you scarred, from where you came isn’t who you are. Oh, my brother- you don’t have to follow in your bloodline.”

The Besties!! Sarra & Cyrus 🩷💜
Thank you so much to the amazing @nadlyj (same on Instagram) for drawing them!! Their friendship means the galaxy to me!❤️
Just for clarification, Sarra and Cyrus are not laughing over Sarra’s egg or Cyrus’s helmet. Those objects are meant to be symbolic of their similar character growth- choosing the dark before following the light 🩷💜 (Or, the egg and the helmet can be symbols that Sarra’s and Cyrus’s pasts may or may not come back to haunt them in Arc 2)
But, Sarra’s egg is the primary conflict of my story. If you know what’s inside it, I’ll just say two padawans plus their Masters and a newly-knighted Jedi are going to have extremely rough times ahead 😭 (everyone survives in the end, I swear!)
Friendship Lore! 🩷💜
For Sarra, Cyrus was her first and best friend. After experiencing the wrath and aggression of two unforgiving padawans, Cyrus Vuundir was the first person who defended Sarra and tried to understand her motives behind her mission to Tenoo- despite its severe consequences. Not only did Cyrus challenge Sarra’s beliefs that her fear had to dictate her life and she had to obey the twin voices in her mind, but he also believed despite her actions, Sarra was a good person. And Cyrus completely advocated for Sarra when the Tazi Sloth appointed her as the Champion of Tenoo.
After Arc One, Sarra and Cyrus hang out often, having fun and creating some chaos on Tenoo! Due to Sarra’s discomfort with lightsabers, Cyrus also becomes Sarra’s sparring partner for her training sessions.
(I want to mention that like Cyrus, Kai initially tried to help Sarra. But with her experience with the two padawans, Sarra is unwilling to trust any Jedi)
For Cyrus, even though he wasn’t impacted to the extent that his Force-wielding friends were when the Nameless-Drengir hybrids invaded Tenoo and Sarra’s betrayal was revealed, he was one of the only people to sense there was more to Sarra. Seeing parts of himself in the Nihil scientist, Cyrus attempted to understand/help Sarra through his own journey of rejecting his pirate persona- Taborr Val Dorn- and the compassion he was shown by Kai and his friends. Initially, it was challenging but ultimately, Sarra chose to do good- just like he had- by severing her bond with the hybrids and joining Team Tenoo. Yet, despite Sarra’s change of heart, Cyrus still had to stand up for his new friend- especially against Wes and Celesta and the padawans’ villainizing of her (this is before the Hotshot Trio)
After Arc One, Cyrus visits Sarra on Tenoo whenever he can as she begins her training as a youngling- even though Sarra is the average age of a padawan. He enjoys their sparring sessions (Cyrus believes Sarra is a great duelist, especially when she uses her Force-abilities as the Champion of Tenoo); but most importantly, Cyrus enjoys witnessing his friend breaking out of her reserved shell as she becomes more adventurous and Sarra’s blossoming friendships with Wes and Celesta- once her sworn enemies. And on the rare occasion, Cyrus and Sarra talk about their negligent parents/parental figures- an aspect the rest of Team Tenoo can not relate to. (And now you know what’s inside of Sarra’s egg 🙃)
Without their symbolic objects, I imagine Sarra and Cyrus are scheming how to best prank Wes & Celesta! And of course, Sarra and Cyrus are successful- why wouldn’t they be?😂 I also imagine that Sarra and Cyrus have to ask Bell (and best girl Ember) to cover for them!
I feel like this is also a Young Jedi Adventures appreciation post!✨ If you’re curious about Cyrus, Wes, Celesta, Kai and his friends, Bell and Ember, or where Sarra’s story/lore begins, please consider giving the show a watch!😁
