A big thanks to @myoom for drawing him exactly as I see him in my AU.

I thought I will give Rocinante a bit more visual content since he will now have more presence in the story. He hasn’t been seen since ch.10, and someone messaged me asking me if there was any point to him being there in the first place LOL. Apart from the fact that he is one of my favourite characters. Yes, there is and sorry for taking ages to get to it.

In this AU he lives in Water 7 and is an architect who works closely with Iceburg. He survived, but he limps a little and just like in canon he has numerous scars. He also has another job on the side, but we will learn more about it later on.

This was the cup Vivi used in the previous chapter and that @shevoj1207 drew in the post right before this one.

It’s a lotiform chalice from Ancient Egypt, made sometime between 1295-1185BCE (New Kingdom period, 19th dynasty). Currently housed at the Met.

As I started this fic to practice my writing, I wanted the story to convey a historical fiction element to the reader. I know that’s a bit odd given that this a One Piece fanfic but the latter has a lot of links to world history too. So I will be adding more of these historical links on top of the existing ones in the coming chapters.

The second part of the story will be from a first-person POV and will really focus on this historical factor too.

This means a lot to me, I am glad you enjoyed it! I was still bummed about what happened to him in canon so I always wanted him to have another chance (the beauty of an AU)and I don’t know why I associated him with architecture maybe because of his actions in canon, infiltrated one building, blew up another, etc. Granted that’s not the same but there’s that construction/deconstruction element with buildings that made me see him that way.

That’s an awesome profession to have!  I always admired architects for their work. Well done and best of luck with your studies!🍀

This is a story/imageboard for the first chapter of Celestial Bonds. 

I will be uploading a series of image boards for some of the chapters of the fic. I sometimes make these to help me plan a section of the story. Or I make a quick list/mindmap. But this method helps me visualise everything a lot better. 

I should have uploaded these earlier, maybe I will make one for each chapter that I skipped as a refresher. 

How do you plan your stories?

P.S.I don’t know why I added arrows to the most obvious things,  “oh here’s Miss All-Sunday in case you don’t know.” XD I think I thought they looked “cool” back then LOL
