Imagine drinking your favorite beer and enjoying your favorite pizza for the past 22 years and being in constant pain with no clue why, now imagine being told those have been slowly killing you this entire time. Celiac Disease has over 300 symptoms, and causes bone density, and 3 types of cancers. Celiac Disease is an autoimmune Disease not a food allergy. There is no benefit for going GF other than trying to save my life. #ItsNotAFad #celiacprobs #glutenfreelifestyle
Just WOW
I went to Buffalo Wild Wings with my family for some trivia today. I have started bring in outside food because they have nothing for me there. (Oh, whoops, I for got about the plain lettuce “salad” and the plain--super dry-- chicken breast cooked on a questionable grill, both over priced.) So, the manager come over to our table today and starts scolding (yes, scolding) us for bringing in food. After telling him that I have dietary restrictions, he started to argue with me. I almost laughed at some of the things he said. I was telling him how he would need to wash down the grill and he was like “yeah, yeah, we can do that.” And all I could think was that I would be getting an extra helping of saliva in my food. He was just so rude about everything. And he didn't even know what he was talking about with accommodating allergies.
Either way, I don’t plan on going back there again any time soon. And I suggest other celiacs don’t either. They obviously need to learn a bit more about dietary restrictions before arguing with customers.
You don't know desperate until you've made a sandwich using rice cakes instead of bread.
I hate bathrooms without doors not like no stall doors but the whole room just opens up to the hall and I feel like everyone in the building can hear everything
