Well thank you! It's taken me a lot of years but I think I deserve better, too. I think part of why I was so reluctant also to speak up about my dissatisfaction with FBF is that I thought that if we stopped being friends, I would never have anyone else. I'm incredibly grateful that that turned out not to be the case, and I feel that I have become a much stronger person since FBF and I stopped talking. And I know her stepmom has good intentions, but if this is a case of her attempting to meddle and patch things up between us, I just can't see it ending well (FBF has never gotten along with her stepmom that much, so if this is all under stepmom's auspices, FBF would definitely not be happy about it).

Last time I had an endoscopy when I woke up in recovery the male nurse pushing my bed/ trolley looked like peter and I said to him you look like peter and he was all happy about that and said thanks I wish you nothing but the best be well xx

Thanks, cm. I barely even had time to register my displeasure at the lousy Autotuned pop song I was hearing as I went under. LOL! But,  I actually felt really refreshed, and a bit giddy too when I woke up in the recovery room. I wish I could feel that way every morning.

My esophagus and upper GI tract are a mess (my doc handed me a summary with some not so lovely pics to gawk at), but at least I'm finally getting to the bottom of it all and dealing with it.

Fandom is a Strange Loop (part 1)

Well, in November 2013 I had what is by far one of the most memorable and significant experiences of my life. Meeting writer, musician, inventor, long-time personal role model (and generally Hoopy Frood) Michael Nesmith was NOT said experience (though Nez did come in a mighty close second…) And on that note, I know how testy y’all get sometimes, so I think I’d better explain before I get bludgeoned by a horde of miffed fans. Read on to learn about one of the stranger loops of the last 3 years of my life—oh, and yes, I review the show too. ;-)
