no one tagged me but I love researching mythology and especially Celtic mythology.
Down the rabbit hole is already heavily bringing things from Celtic mythology so it took me a while to figure out what I wanted to do after all. Mabon is a shuck, Sidhe is heavily implied to be a mix of a bakeneko and a future benevolent Celtic fae, and Seelie is a type of raven fae with potential ties to the morrigan
Calluna themselves is considered veil touched and a feykin, and a fairy doctor. However I was thinking on the process of how Calluna was created and what if she was all fey.
playing along with the artist angle again. I give you Calluna as a leanan Sidhe
. A beautiful fairy who takes a human lover. Said human lovers lead very very short lives but said lives are very creative and highly inspired.
so here they are seducing their next poet…. I even added the wings ‘lost love’
also now I must hide from them because ahahah that is way more skin than she likes to be showing.
A tiktoker 'irish shaman' from america is out here saying to give the fae your urine for Beltane as offering. I accidently lost the video and cant find it but...that is an awful idea.
Some of yall really are out here getting information that can straight up lead to death. The fae are not things to be treated lightly. i- like yall...no.....if you wanna offer anything you can do milk and honey with flowers, but other than that PLEASE do not leave urine for the fae. Do not contact them unless you have extensively researched them. Do not buy into wicca depiction of them. Not all of them are nice, quite a few are indifferent or even mean to humans. They will be incredibly offended if you offer them urine. Incredibly. Good things dont happen when one offends the fae. Dear gods...
Hope you're all doing well n' HAPPI FULL MOONIEEE 🦋☾ This lil fae is ready to make digital! I'm working on half drawings to mirror & edit on my mac.. when it stops freezing..
Height: 5'5-6′5 usually. But she can be as tall as she wants to be.
Gender: Female (She/Her)
Body Type: Pear Shaped. Big and voluptuous.
Age: Who knows? All her neighbors call her ‘Young Keeva’ though
Hair color: Brown (White in Winter)
Eye color: Golden Yellow
Likes: Reading, Dancing at the full moon. Elder berry wine, Honey Hard Cider, Black Current Wine, dogs, wood and stone carving, cooking, baking (especially with honey). Archery, and her Fae Elk Oisin. Fish, bread, rain, snow. Healing, medicine, books on surgery. Restoring old Tomes and Books.
Dislikes: Trespassers, Rudeness, beets. Loud noises. Iron and cold steel. CATS
Personality: Keeva is a very sweet person. She doesn’t like conflict, doesn’t do well in crowded places, and doesn’t like loud noises. Music occasionally being an exception. She works hard and tries to keep her nose out of other’s business unless is affects her and those she cares about. She’s self sufficient and independent, but also a little lonely. And cuddly. If allowed she will cuddle, hug, hold hands, and play with hair. She’s a bird after all. Keeva is not much into the wild parties that other Fae are given to enjoying. Unless Elderberry Wine is involved. ;)
Back Story: Keeva was one of 4 owlets born. Sort of a miracle in and of itself. Her kind were heavily on the decline due to modern advancements and the shrinking of natural wild places. When she was still a child the Fae were forced out of the lands now called Monster city and several others and had to move north and into lands most couldn’t survive in. And this is why Keeva, when she was old enough, took up the lands at the border of New Eirinn to keep watch on mortals. Apart from a desire to learn more about them. Her lands are a neutral zone and thus if outsiders wander into her territory she saves them from the perpetual blizzard summoned to also keep guard over the pass, but returns them to the nearest mortal settlement. That neutrality is tied into her powers and the connection with the very earth she lives on. And if blood is spilled on her lands she will be very sick, almost comatose for a while. This does not count for animals and her own blood. Though the very land will retaliate against the offender to protect her if it does happen.
Keeva fell head over heals for a mechanical man. A human soul and brain trapped in a metal and circuit body who fled Monster city and stayed with her for some years after she found him half frozen in the harsh winter snow. She opened her home and her heart to him and he did the same. Only to change his mind and return to the lands southward where she couldn’t follow on pain of death from how much Iron is everywhere down there. It’s been some years since and she has done her best to forget and move on.
Skills: Landrule Magics, Healing magics, trickery and tom foolery. Languages and Histories. Mists, shields, Harnessing starlight and the Aurora Borealis to make magic arrows. Control over plants and Ice/Snow. She can call the King of the Wild Hunt to her.
Position/Rank/Job: Guardian of the Gateway to New Eirinn. Speaker at the Sun/Moon/Star Drinker's Counsel.
Quotes: “Ye’re trespassin, get off me lands.” “Are ye lost traveler?”
Theme Song: Meet me in the Woods Lord Huron, Sky Full of Song by Florence and the Machine, Last of the Wilds by Nightwish, Scarborough Fair Canticle
Still generally accurate portrayal of how she looks in Fall.
Maeve is the Queen of the Fae race. She symbolizes magic, justice (law), protection, and leadership. Within Celtic lore she is described as being very strict in the laws where the fae cannot work with humans- she felt it was best for keeping the faeries safe. She possesses a powerful magic, balancing white & black magic. Maeve is a warrior goddess with a strong reign over the faerie lands. She is known to be very wise, always ticking the minds of those weaker than her. Maeve connects to the new moon energies and ravens. Within the moonless shadows Maeve lingers, always prepared to battle in order to protect the magical lands of the Fae.
