Very belated Imbolc ’s lá fhéile Bríde shona daoibh! The start of February marks the festivity of Imbolc, the beginning of Spring in the Celtic calendar, and it is celebrated in Ireland as Brigid’s Day 🎶☀️🍃 . Two more edits (coming to the end of this shoot!) of my 2019 closet cosplay/reenactment of the Irish goddess Brighid, solar fire goddess associated with poetry and inspiration, fertility and healing, smithwork, crafts and music, and warlike protection. She’s one of my favourite goddesses in one of my favourite cultures. One of these edits focuses on her protective warlike aspect ⚒️ . My Brigid reenactment posts

➡️Wig: Spiral Curly Auburn lace-front from Wig Is Fashion @wigisfashion I’m in love with the curly wigs I got for my Celtic endeavours 😍💚 ➡️The wool checked cloak/mantle/shawl and brooch I got in Glasgow are also so gorgeous and some perfect for Celtic reenactments ❤️ ➡️Background pic is my own from a 2007 trip to Ireland ➡️Pics and edits by me

Historical reenactment - Celtic Druidess (2011) 🍃 . I'm planning a new druidess shoot in the near future, but for now I only have a few pics back from 2011 when my Irish group reenacted Celtic druids for a Samhain show xD The first pose reminds me a bit of the Druidess painting by Lionel Roger ☺️ The tunic is actually my Athena costume from when I was little (someday I'll upload the childhood cosplays and reenactment because this cosplayer life began early xDD). I think it works pretty well for a druidess and surprisingly fits too, years after xD 😀 The lunar crescent is inspired in the priestesses of the Goddess religion of The Mists of Avalon

Had the chance of seeing one of my favourite depictions of the goddess Brigantia, warlike version of Brighid among the Brigantes in Britannia, at the National Museum of Edinburgh :) ^^ (Sept. 2017)
Also honouring my inner Missy with a Slytherin scarf xD
