I may not be able to do much in the fight against censorship and AI, but I am doing all that I can without actively harming myself.
No matter if you're boycotting YouTube with the Blackout, or if you're mailing every senator 5 letters a day to oppose the upcoming laws, you are doing enough. Even if all you can do is tell people. Because that's actually a lot. Even if you just reblog a few posts with petitions you're not safe enough to sign.
And that's enough. It's always enough.
Do what you can, because any 'little' or 'insignificant' act will help us fight against censorship and freedom of self.
Anything helps. If everyone does what they can, then we will win. Because one person is not fighting this-- we all are. Every 'little' action each person does against censorship is always worth it. Every 'little' action adds up. Every 'little' action you do will help us win. Every 'little' action will help us keep our sense of self.
It's enough that you're doing something.
Whatever you do-- just don't do nothing because what you can do is 'minimal.'
If your goal as a creator is to police your fandom, I mean this so sincerely-
STOP MAKING PUBLIC CONTENT!
If you can't handle what you're fandom does, you shouldn't be making public content in the first place. If you want to create content but don't like fandom, leave your content for yourself.
Not only would your fandom be presumably insufferable to you, YOU would be insufferable to your fandom!
"How my fandom would mischaracterize my OCs😒" don't make your content public then.
"My fandom loves a character I don't want them to like!😫" don't make your content public then.
"My fandom is shipping characters I don't want to be shipped together!🤢" DON'T MAKE YOUR CONTENT PUBLIC THEN.

Section 230 keeps tumblr from getting in trouble because of something a user says
Example: Shlorbort the tumblr user says “I want to shoot [political figure]! Here’s a photo of the gun I’ll use!
With section 230: only the poster gets in trouble.
Without section 230: poster and tumblr get in trouble and the government will probably try to moderate out all the anti government stuff.
