Nasutoceratops Titusi 🌱
A Ferencerstops shqiperorum ambles across a dried-up riverbed and into the cover of the bigger ferns as two Hatzegopteryx thambema arrive to snatch up smaller animals scurrying around in their path, 70 million years ago on Hateg Island in what is now the Densuș-Ciula Formation of Romania.
New results indicate that rhabdodontids and the previously described Ajkaceratops are actually distinctive European ceratopsians, a group&nb
And we have also found news of Ammonites surviving the K-PG extinction and into the first 600,00 years or so of the Danian or earliest age of the Paleocene, too, in the form of fossils from the Cerithium Limestone Member at Stevns-Klint, Denmark!
We provide a reassessment of the hypothesis of ammonite survival across the Cretaceous–Paleogene (Maastrichtian–Danian) boundary, based on n
All baby triceratopses are born with the name “6 7” until they are old enough to choose one for themselves. Unfortunately, most of them decide to keep the name, resulting in 78% of all adult triceratopses being names “6 7” and 20% having the name “7 6” to be divisive. Only 2% of all triceratops have a unique name, which can be exponentially confusing for everyone who is not a triceratops. Interestingly enough, it seems like it does not stand as an issue for them.

Serendipaceratops Arthurcclarkei
"Serendipitous Horned Face... Arthur Clark"
I know most dinosaur nerds would say that this is an ankylosaur in appearance and not a ceratops. However its naming convention comes from the debate of the species that has persisted since discovery in the 1990s. When it was first discovered it was given this name as they believed it (the only bone we have being the forearm bone) belonged to an early ceratopsian similar to leptoceratops... But then others came along and said things like, "Ceratops aren't even found in Australia" and "That actually looks like a member of the Ankylosaur family*" and so its classification is all speculative until we are able to uncover more like it.
It's species name (arthurcclarkei) is in reference to the author of 2001: A Space Oddity, As he is a (allegedly) a dinosaur nerd and the guy who named the dinosaur is a fan (or friend) to the guy. So that's cool. Its fun to get creative with a design like this. Normally I want to try and make fun and bold takes on crests/mating displays a dinosaur could have, but with how speculative this design already is, I didn't want to push too far with what I was already pulling out my butt hole. :)
For those curious, I used a european pine marten as the color inspiration as it had existed in a region we theorize was similar to a coniferous forest. Plus I like the bold orange. *The bone closest resembles that of Minmi! A cute little parankylosaur.
I have full unintelligible insane ramblings of my research and design process over on my ko-fi. I'll also be streaming later today at 3PM PST at My Twitch
[Image description: A stylized digital drawing of two styracosaurus watching a meteor shower at night. The styracosaurus on the left is dark brown with pale freckles & bright blue eyes, the styracosaurus on the right is greenish with dark freckles & pale green eyes. The grass is a dark & desaturated yellow-green color, & barren dark brown branches jut out from off screen. On one of the branches on the left, there's one pinkish brown thrush, whereas the branch on the right has two such thrushes. The sky is indigo & purple, the stars are a lighter purple & the shooting stars are pale blue & yellow. End of image description]
the styracosaurus on the left is my oc named peater that I designed myself, except for the stripes on his face & tail, which was a feature added to his design by cat-dragron on primeval age based off a design by tokkay on primeval age.
the styracosaurus on the right's name is gwenn & she belongs to & was designed by @sollyraptor
