IT - HC-- Richie never made a joke about Eddie's mother since she was never in Eddie's life. Richie is gay and ALWAYS flirts with Eddie, who is bi. After coming out with Richie's help, the two soon married and have been a loving, doting couple for over a decade before Pettywife's return. Bill and Stan have also been married for just as long. Beverly is lesbian and married to a gender swapped Ben. Ben isn't trans. She was originally written poorly by someone who would make Jerry Lewis look like a saint, in a book longer and thicker than the Bible. All survive the second encounter. In fact, they aren't even phased by IT. If anything, they are simply annoyed, which pisses off the holier than thou (Stephen) King of Kings even more.
