Rose chafers on meadowsweet - friendly little giants.
(Cetonia aurata, imago, on Filipendula ulmaria)
Note - Protaetia cuprea ssp. metallica is also relatively common in the north west palaeartic and i can't remember checking the difference. The lack of white knees, and lack of dent at the top part of the wing cases surrounding the scutellum, and that C. aurata is probably the more common species around here has me settled on this ID but who knows ! I might be wrong.
