In part one Kyouji was overly familiar with Satomi, throwing an arm over his shoulder, patting his head, bumping him shoulder to shoulder when Satomi got out from under his arm.
In part two Kyouji gently taps the tips of their shoes together, almost like he's afraid anything more will scare Satomi off. Satomi's a man now and Kyouji's having trouble figuring out how much is too much, what he's allowed to do, what Satomi wants him to do. The UST is palpable.
Nesta didn’t want to talk about it. About the fact that it had always been her and Elain. And, somehow, now it had become Feyre and Elain instead. Elain had chosen Feyre and these people, and left her behind. Amren had done the same. She’d made it clear on the barge.
Nesta didn’t care that during the war with Hybern, her own tentative bond had formed with Feyre, forged over common goals: protect Elain, save the human lands. They were excuses, Nesta had realized, to paper over what now boiled and raged in her heart.
Nesta didn’t bother replying, and Feyre didn’t speak again as she departed.
There was nothing to bind them together anymore.
bro did nesta just refuse to accept feyre as her little sister all along 😭😭 like how is the only thing that brought them together was to protect elain, the middle sister? elain being with feyre is still elain being with her little SISTER (elain who hasn’t ostracized feyre/treated her like an other), and what is elain supposed to do if you literally tell her to leave..? same with amren (who has over 50 years of a bond with the NC) 😭 i thought nesta’s pov was supposed to help us sympathize with her but her thoughts actually do correlate her behavior. other than with cassian i guess
With memory rewriting being a thing, now I'm wondering if the events of the plot correlate with a spike in "freak accidents." I can imagine conspiracy theorists having a field day making up their own reasons for all the weird shit that happens in Karakura Town.
Also wanted to know what Isshin's shirt says here, checked the English version out of curiosity. This is what we got:
Oh, for the days when I thought this and some brightly patterned shirts was as wacky as Isshin's outfits would get.
Heads up, this chapter is no longer a part of the story, but I'm keeping it up to read
Body shaking and sore, I fell between a state of conciseness and quiet sleep. I experienced the world in glimpses for an indeterminate amount of time, like broken dreams.. or nightmares.
My head was throbbing, and my body shivered from the cold hard floor I found myself laying on as something poked at me. It was hard and kept nudging my lower back as if it had been trying to get my attention. The world became much more clear as I was forced awake by the persistent nudges. My hearing and vision became more focused as the environment became whole despite my exhaustion.
"Cmon, wake up already!!" A feminine yet annoying voice spoke out in frustration at my lack of a response while she kicked my back harder, sending a jolt of pain through old wounds.
Snarling in pain and exhaustion, I moved quickly to turn and swipe at whoever was bothering me as if I were a mad animal. She was quick to jump back out of reach with a gleeful giggle.
"Finnaly! I almost thought you were dead with how bad you smell, eww!! Also, you're like, covered in blood. Is that normal for you?" She was very eccentric with how she spoke and moved her hands.
"Sure, it's normal." I groaned out a simple reply despite my throat protesting at every word.
I fell back onto the floor as the aches and pains caught up to me from the night before, groaning from the sourness that spilled over me like a bucket of ice. The cold floor did little to help ease the pain that covered my body.
She kept asking questions, but I just curled into myself, trying to find some semblance of comfort. She began to kick me again, but harder this time.
I grit my teeth and moved to sit on my knees with my arms holding me up despite my nerves protesting with every move. My back hunched, and head hung low as I glared at her. Despite my blurred vision I could see her face, the hybrid menace as some called her. Black Hat's lizard girl best known for her stunts in fighting and pranks.
"Leave me be." I glared at her as I tried filled my words with venom.
"Hmmmmm..." She put her finger to her chin dramatically and rolled her eyes before saying a cheerful-
"Nope! It's more fun to bug you!" She reached her hand out to touch me, and I flinched backwards. "Here, bunny bunny bunny!!"
Her hand came closer to my face, but before she could reach me I grabbed her by the wrist and pulled her down to my mouth, and as hard as I could, I bit her arm. My incisors pierced her skin, tasting blood before she yelled out in pain and pulled her arm away, holding it close to her chest as she looked at me with a shocked expression.
Her face quickly turned to anger and before a moment had passed, she lunged at me. She was above me and had me pinned with my back forced to the floor. Adrenaline overriding my injuries, allowing my forefeet to connect with her stomach before kicking her off me with as much force as I could muster.
I used my legs to push her over my head, and she landed upside down on the wall behind me, giving me an opening to run. Pushing myself up off the floor, I ran out of the room. The entire room was made out of concrete asside from the open wall where the door should've been. I didn't have time to think about it too much before I heard the girl yell out a sorta war cry before lunging at me again. Luckily, I dodged her attack by ducking down to the floor, and she crashed into equipment with a loud noise that made my ears ring.
"Keep running, just move!!" I said to myself as I pushed through a double door into a dark room filled with lab equipment.
Tube's and piped filled with glowing liquids illuminated the room just enough to see a figure working in the dark. They either didn't seem to be bothered by the noise or weren't aware of it. The figure began to slowly turn around, and I ducked under a desk to avoid being spotted, not taking any chances.
I heard the clicking of shoes against the floor getting closer and closer, holding my breath in fear of any little noise alerting whoever it was. Lucky for me, they walked through the double doors into the room with the girl-
"DEMENTIA WHAT THE FUCK!?
Well, if they didn't know before, they sure as hell do now.. the clicking of shoes grew louder as they stormed back into the lab before standing right by the doors, presumably to look for me.. we'll shit.
The stranger whistled loudly before the whirring of machinery could be heard.
"Find. Him. NOW!!" The man commanded to the machines, they quickly began to whirr in different directions but now I had a bigger problem.
How the FUCK was I supposed to hide from possibly hundreds of eyes all looking for me?? I could really only sit under the desk and pray to whoever would listen.
It didn't take long till I heard the familiar tapping of shoes getting closer, and even in the dark I could see him standing in front of the desk. He leaned over it and i heard the tapping from what sounded like a keyboard. My heart was racing, he was so close and he didn't even know it yet..
"Useless bots. I swear I'm going to melt you all down into scrap metal for my next bots, you poor excuses for prototypes." He was clearly frustrated while shouting at the robots frantically looking for me..
Without a reason, all the noise suddenly stopped. There wasn't a single sound other than my own frantic heartbeat. It was more terrifying than the angered voice of the man right in front of me. And after just a moment of calm, I felt it. His hand suddenly grabbed my hair and yanked me out from under the desk. My hands grabbed at his wrists, desperate to get away but to no avail.
I fought desperately against his unbreakable grip as he dragged me back towards the concrete room. Broken equipment scattered the floor, and I stumbled over it before he threw me onto the floor of the all too familiar cold room I woke up on. My head and hands scrapped against the floor as I hit the ground, I turned to look over my shoulder at the man who brought me here.
Dr Flug.. his eyes were filled with pure annoyance and frustration. He had a black apron on covering his white lab coat, his gloves were stained red with blood, and he wore a pair of headphones over his bag mask.
"Stay. Put." His voice was commanding. Even if I wanted to, I couldn't leave as the glass door closed from the ceiling to the floor. Trapping me inside.
"I'll be back soon."
Once he left, I turned over onto my back and just stared up at the ceiling, the only surface in this damn room covered in these weird electrical patterns. Knowing there wasn't anything else to do, I decided to follow the patterns with my eyes to pass the time. Unsure of how long the wait would be.
