Chapter 422 - Midoriya Izuku Rising
The ordinary marines refer to Lucci with the honorific 氏/shi, instead of the much more common さん/san. Shi is more formal than san, and is usually used for someone than the speaker doesn’t personally know.
Perhaps not coincidentally, though, it’s also pronounced exactly the same as the word for death (死/shi).
Lucci’s attack is called 凱鳥/gaichou. Gaichou (normally written 害鳥) means ‘harmful/dangerous bird,’ which you can see in the bird outline of his attack- but the kanji he uses for gai, 凱, means ‘victory song.’ So it’s like Lucci is already celebrating/proclaiming his victory before he’s already got it- he’s certain this will be the end of the fight.
CHAPTER 422 GUUUUUYYYSSSS
I WAS THINKING THAT SOONER OR LATER THAT LUCY WOULD DO SOMETHING LIKE REQUIPPING INTO THE POWERS HER SPIRITS HAVE AND HAVE A SIMILAR ATTIRE TO THEM AND IT CAME TRUE AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH (but mine was more like she would summon her spirits and they would fuse into her giving her their abilities but this is just as cool you go Lucy bae)
