In the very brief flashback we see to Franky meeting the Square Sisters and physically dragging them away from drinking themselves unconscious, he refers to them as 若い娘/wakai musume. Wakai means ‘young’ but the word with more weight here is musume- it can and often does mean ‘girl/young woman’ (as used by older people to refer to people of a younger generation) but it literally means ‘daughter.’

Basically this one panel has some of the strongest ‘I’m your dad now’ energy of anything I’ve ever seen.

Like a lot of the more irreverent characters in One Piece, Franky basically never uses polite Japanese, which fits with his general persona- he doesn’t really show respect/deference to anybody. This moment here, where he’s mentally thanking Tom, is the exception. I think it’s the first time he uses polite forms ever, actually.

He mentally says to Tom どうも世話んなりました/doumo sewan narimashita which is a quite respectful, genuine way of saying basically ‘thank you for all your help.’

(It’s also a direct parallel to Sanji’s farewell to Zeff, where Sanji says an almost identical line of くそお世話になりました/kuso osewa ni narimashita- the only difference is Sanji’s version has more swearing and better grammar, and is a little less direct with the gratitude. So there’s that.)

Zanbai uses respectful verb forms the entire time he’s haranguing Franky into leaving, which is fully at odds with his normal persona and style of speech- it serves as a really good indicator of just how much he and the rest of the Franky Family respect and love Franky.
