I would tell them not to be mean, but they're 100% right
I subscribe to few fan theories, because honestly I don't care to theorize, but I was a pretty early adopter of the idea that the Celestial Dragons came from the moon. First off, their outfits look like space suits. Secondly, Roswald sounds too much like Roswell to be coincidence. Third, their hair is exactly like the King and Queen of the Moon from the Adventures of Baron Munchausen
With all the evidence since all-but confirming some sort of moon-based shenanigans, I think that it's really cool that such a huge plot point can be inferred from their design alone. That's really strong character work
Oda excels at contrasting the brutal horrors of oppression with the bright, candy-sweet appearances of his world. The reader got to see several pages of the Straw Hats innocently goofing off buying souvenirs, so this statement by a dying man hits harder than it would have without that context.
The Celestial Dragons have the dubious honor of having the shortest page time to visceral hatred ratio in the manga.
This is a pretty off-hand statement, but it sets up one of the most important moments of Sabaody, when Luffy makes it very clear that he wants to discover what's ahead for himself rather than be told
It's cute how Usopp became Franky's unofficial helper with Sunny maintenance
I will remind everyone that Kumadori's mother is not, in fact, dead
