Suna Headcannon History Lesson!
-Suna was founded right after Kumo, the third major Ninja village.
-The first Kazekage was the fourth daughter of an Uzushigakure clan that were the patrons of Magnet Release.
-She arrived in the middle of a Wind Country, felt the sun beating down on her face, wind blowing, and sand shifting below her feet, and was amazed at how much Sand there was. It was probably the best thing she had ever seen.
-She went back to Uzushio and told her clan about her findings, and they were all very excited about it. They spoke withe the Uzukage, and most of them left the island, though they did so on good terms.
-She and her clan built the village up, recruiting shinobi from all over the land of wind. Many joined their village from Uzushio, and they even had an Uzumaki Clan Estate.
-Yes, Sasori was an Uzumaki; 1/16 or something, I’d say.
-Yes, Gaara is also an Uzumaki: 1/2. Karua was a full-blooded Uzumaki who Rasa had an arranged marriage with, to produce the best possible Jinchuuriki.
-This also means that Kankaro and Temari are Uzumaki.
-(Don’t think about Rasa teaching Kanks and Tem about Chakra chains, so that they could restrain and neutralize Gaara if ever necessary. Don’t think about them both being absolutely unwilling to do that ever, even during the Konoha Crush.)
-Gaara is their first Jinchuuriki. While they did get the gift from the Shodaime, all Kazekage’s until Rasa were of the belief that it was a last-resort kinda thing, not a seal-in-your-child-as-soon-as-possible kinda thing.
-The air in Suna smell faintly of salt, no matter where you are. It’s weird, and strongest around the Uzumaki Estate.
-The title of Kazekage is, more or less, passed down through linage, in a loose way. The Kazekage has to be able to use the Magnet Release Kekki Genkai, something that only Kazekage Clan members have.
